So you are suggesting Abbott’s Republican opponents praise Abbott and they will win the GOP nomination

and when did I do that? I said he should not even mention Abbott. Where do you get "praise Abbott" out of "not even mention Abbott"?

I am saying Pauken sounds like he is losing badly and is desperately throwing mud (this is the impression, true or not) when he needs to actually be talking about issues. These headlines and the articles you posted today are not pro-Pauken unless there are also articles and headlines outlining Pauken's vision for Texas minus attacks on fellow Republicans.

I really don't think I am being too hard to follow here.

So we should not have debates in the Texas GOP gubernatorial primaries. As you suggested, Pauken “should not even mention Abbott.”

The main issue is that Abbott supporters don’t know how to take a punch from fellow conservative Republicans. They throw hissy fits if I remind them that Abbott is too afraid to debate Pauken one-on-one. Abbott ate a birthday cake with Gov. Chris Christie. Donald Trump donates to his campaign. Personally, I find it humorous to watch the howling reaction of Abbotteers. Makes for good comedy. Meanwhile, nomination fights are about vetting your Party’s candidates. Attacks are essential to the vetting process to help voters make more informed decisions. If the roles were reversed and Pauken was leading, I would bet that Abbotteers would go into a rage if Pauken refused to debate his GOP opponent.
