Sick Left Exploit Mass Shooting To Push Gun Ban

The tragic mass shooting at the Washington Navy Yard has brought out the opportunistic ghouls from the sick left including Senator Diane Feinstein who are standing on the victims' corpses as bully pulpits from which to preach their anti-gun agenda as reported by Ben Wolfgang for The Washington Times:

"Popular conservative blogger and former CNN commentator Erick Erickson admonished the rush to politicize the shooting, saying 'seriously people, grow up. I would not dare step in the way of America's national pastime of bitching about the politics of everything on Twitter, but there has to be a better time for it than as the temperature of bodies on the ground in the Navy Yard are not even yet cold,' he said. 'If you don't have the judgment and good sense to understand that now is not the time to say it, you have no capacity to understand why.'"

Of course, if the liberal politicians really wanted to prevent mass murder perhaps they should address its underlying causes rather than demonize the employed instrumentality. Although Feinstein and her hysterical ilk want to blame the gun something else likely is the culprit.

Guns -- including the unfairly maligned so-called assault rifle and high-capacity ammo clips -- long have been around but only recently has there been a tragic uptick in mass shootings as reported by Mother Jones: "since 1982, there have been at least 62 mass shootings across the country," and "twenty-five of these mass shootings have occurred since 2006, and seven of them took place in 2012."

Curiously, within this same period the use of pyschotropic drugs by Americans has skyrocketed, and in all of these mass shootings "the perpetrators were either actively taking powerful pyschotrop drugs or had been at some point in the immediate past before they committed their crimes" as reported by Dan Roberts for AmmoLand: "multiple credible scientific studies going back more then a decade, as well as internal documents from certain pharmaceutical companies that suppressed the information show that SSRI drugs ( Selective Serotonin Re-Uptake Inhibitors ) have well known, but unreported side effects, including but not limited to suicide and other violent behavior."

Indeed, Washington Navy Yard shooter Aaron Alexis had a long history of violent and otherwise bizarre behavior, and was "treated" for a variety of mental illnesses including paranoia, a sleep disorder and hearing voices as reported by the Daily Mail.

It's not guns who kill people. It's not even people who kill people. It's nut jobs who kill people, and blowhard liberals should focus on the mentally ill and their pharmaceutical treatments rather than the Second Amendment rights of law-abiding citizens in confronting mass shootings.

For these mass killings, why can’t we *relentlessly* affirm that this was yet another mass killing courtesy of an “Anti-Gun, Free-Murder Zone”, aka:
Democrat Free-Murder Zone
Feinstein Free-Murder Zone
Bloomberg Free-Murder Zone
etc...

And start asking the question, “How many of those poor, victim’s families now wish that their loved one, instead of having their hands tied by a misguided, politically motivated federal mandate that disarmed them, had some way to fight back and protect themselves or others against a killer that the anti-gun free-murder zone ushered into their midst?”

How many more of these killers will be invited by the democrats, the Feinsteins, The Bloombergs into even more anti-gun free-murder zones before we demand the right to self defense?

Women, Children and minorities will continue to suffer until we stand up for the rights stripped from us by guile and deceit.

Someone better than I can probably word it more suitably, but I’m sure everyone gets the idea: Why do we let the anti-Americans/anti-guns/anti-self-defense/anti-truth folks frame the debate? Can’t we do it too, instead of always wasting time, money and effort arguing against their straw-men?
