BUT a house that costs 100,000 in a Texas City Costs 1,000,000 in CA.

Do the math.

And no state income tax.

TX is not like CA and never will be.

Ouch. In the more expensive cities in VA, it works out to a little over 1%. Significantly less in the rural areas.

But you don’t have to pay personal income tax in TX. CA personal income tax is very high as is sales tax.
