The real world can be a harsh teacher. I’m semi-retired and work part time. One day, a new hire (at minimum wage) wondered out loud why the company couldn’t pay more. I asked him how long the line was when he applied for a job and he admitted there was no line. I asked how long he thought the line would have been if they offered double the minimum and I saw the light dawning in his eyes.

Rush had an idiot call in and say the CEO was "making plenty and could afford to give everyone a raise." Sadly, Rush answered a different contention.

Since the CEO makes 17 Million a year, and all McDonalds employees work a total of 2.2 Billion hours worldwide, he could make nothing and still could not even give everyone a 1 cent per hour raise.

This came up at work, and when a liberal idiot made the same argument, I pointed out the math. Their response? "It is not fair the CEO is getting rich at the expense of the workers."

If the higher-wage protesters want higher wages, all they have to do is convince the consumer that it is okay to pay $15 for a Big Mac combo meal or a Happy Meal(or $25 for a Carl’s Jr double monster bacon guacamole Swiss). If every consumer agrees, then the price can be changed. If the consumer does not agree, then the idea fails...like every other collectivist idea in history.

Convincing the consumer should be easy. Just have Congress pass a law that everyone has to buy one $15.00 hamburger every day, because we need universal hamburger eating.

Then get John Roberts to say it's a tax.

End of argument!!!

While I like Mr. Bracken’s pigeon analogy, there may be a problem with it.

More specifically, if patriots don’t actually know the Constitution when they try to sell their Hollywood America to liberals, merely regurgitating conservative platitudes based on conservative PC interpretations of the Constitution, as opposed to referencing specific constitutional statutes and Supreme Court opinion excerpts like I try to do to substantiate their position, then patriots arguably deserve to wear liberal piegeon poop.
