Arguing with a Liberal Democrat Pigeon Party about McDonald’s wages
coachisright.com ^ | SEPTEMBER 4TH, 2013 | Emma Karlin, staff writer

The analogy comparing arguing with a liberal to playing chess with a pigeon is the brilliant product of the keen mind of Matthew Bracken, a Navy Seal.

Bracken’s gem says: “Arguing with a liberal is like playing chess with a pigeon. No matter how well you play chess, the pigeon just knocks over all the pieces, craps on the board, spews some unintelligible profanities, and struts around like he won.”

Clearly he has captured to essence of the futility of presenting logical arguments to people who are ruled by pure emotion. “I feel” or “The way I see it” are favorite liberal Democrat pigeon lines. They’re never interested in reality and cling fast to their own idealized version of the world. They substitute wishful thinking for facts and viciously attack those whose reality based arguments piece their shroud of willful ignorance.

If a reasoned argument about how their king Barack Obama has done grievous harm to America begins to penetrate even their armor of denial they will talk about how past Republican presidents were actually responsible for whatever King Barack is currently miserably failing to handle…..

“Democrat liberal pigeon John Wasik has distinguished himself as a leading spokesman for the position that “despite facts and statistics to the contrary, raising the wages of McDonald’s workers by raising the price of its food will indeed raise the economy.” Wasik opines it will lead to millions of new jobs and millions of Americans being lifted out of poverty.

He builds his dream castle by disregarding the fact that the average fast food restaurant runs on a profit margin of 4.6% and more than doubling worker salaries would force many if not all of these stores to close…

The argument is very simple. The decision is in the hands of the consumer.

If the higher-wage protesters want higher wages, all they have to do is convince the consumer that it is okay to pay $15 for a Big Mac combo meal or a Happy Meal(or $25 for a Carl’s Jr double monster bacon guacamole Swiss). If every consumer agrees, then the price can be changed. If the consumer does not agree, then the idea fails...like every other collectivist idea in history.

Like he said, when you point out the utter failure of Obama to do X, they start screaming about how Bush messed it up so bad that Obama can’t fix it.

Within 5-10 years there will be as many fast food employees as there are meter readers in America today.

McDonald’s workers are...btw...getting paid $15.00 an hour (in some cases more) in North Dakota where there is a huge boom in oil and gas drilling. That’s where the market is.

Some idiots looked at McDonald’s Corp financials which include the revenue that franchises pay them but of course only included the payroll expenses for the stores that they own. They (the idiots) wrote an article that concluded the Big Macs would only go up a few cents, because they are idiots and didn’t think about the fact that most stores are franchises and their expenses are not on the Corp financials. After their conclusion was refuted by those pesky facts, I still see liberals spewing that garbage.

One of a growing set of issues where we are 100% correct on the facts. And increasingly unable to win on the politics.

Say something like “they should get $25 an hour” and watch them start backtracking. It’s hilarious.

the futility of presenting logical arguments to people who are ruled by pure emotion.

Most libtards choose not to or are unable to think, and so they have a perceptual level,anti-conceptual mentality, and thus are left with their own emotionalism or the opinions of others to base their judgments and decisions on.

Those that are able to think are trapped in a analytic conceptual framework of Marxism, that causes them to see everything through a filter of Marxist exploitation theory. They think that greedy business owners, in their never ending desire for profits, are stealing what rightfully belongs to the workers, and that workers need to take back what is really theirs, and it won't have any negative consequences for the owners or the economy as a whole when they do.

They don't care about the consequences to the owners, or to the economy as a whole, Marxism, collectivism of any sort, is not about equally distributing the wealth, but equally distributing the poverty.

Except for the distributors, of course, who take a little (a lot) off the top for their trouble in making the world a better place.

Within 5-10 years there will be as many fast food employees as there are meter readers in America today.

Most will be replaced by kiosks to take orders and machines that can churn out food faster and more efficient than humans.

So yes, they will be able afford to pay the 2 employees they will need to run a fast food joint $15.00 an hour.

Just sayin.

I think it’s a mistake to attribute any political theory to liberals. To Leftists, yes - marxist-stalinist collectivist-totalitariansim. But liberals are far, far lower than that. For liberals it’s not a political thing - it’s a human thing. Or more precisely, it’s a rejection of humanity thing - a rejection of their own humanity.

Being a human being means struggling with human problems. Liberals refuse the struggle. Not “a” struggle - THE struggle. All of it. All responsibility for their lives. And Leftists reward that desire with complete political protection, in return for their loyalty.

Which is why discussing politics just pisses off liberals. It’s not about politics - it’s about obedience to them. So they are taught two things: first, what political poisition to take. Second, to erupt into a filth-spewing rage of insults and self-victimization towards anyone who questions or disagrees with them.

That’s it - that’s the whole thing. A liberal is an utterly morally corrupt human being, because they chose their own corruption. They know they are corrupt, and are happy to be that way as long as they are protected. And you, my FRiend, are in their way - so you must be destroyed.

It’s that simple.

You are correct. Maybe not many employees at all, maybe vendors doing the work like grocery stores?
