So beware Christians: the Grand Old establishment has long since used you as a political tool, but now sees you as so gullible, pliable, and dumb that it can openly join forces with the left when it so desires and move you right along as well.

I wonder who benefits from a GOP Civil War, why would they want it, and how would they bring it about?

Oh well, I am sure it's nothing go back to sleep.

Paul Singer, the target of this article, is a fiscal conservative and a social liberal.

He contributed $1 million to Romney's 2012 campaign - less than one half of one percent of the $284 million Romney raised.

Well, it's not like Christians are going to vote for the overt Satan Party (Demonrats).... We need a third party. Democrat-Lite does not cut it. Their game is to talk a good story, but then vote with the Demonrats.

"I kinda think Soros backed Romney anyway."

Romney was the alternative democrat.

The gay media backed Romney for 4 years until he won the nomination. Then having secured gay friendly candidates at the top of both tickets, they threw their weight to the democrat.

Yep. Romney was a pro-abortion, pro-homosexual, pro-gun control type pretending to be otherwise. We were bought and sold down the river.

This is the REAL Mitt Romney on illegals.

My jaw dropped when I saw Mitt denying his illegals in the 2007 debate, and was not surprised what came of it a week later (well, surprised but not totally shocked).

Governor Mitt and wife Ann, were interacting with the Guatemalan illegals at their private home for 10 years. The landscaper that the illegals worked for, was a naturalized Colombian himself, personally chosen by Mitt, (A naturalized Colombian, Guatemalan illegals, and a sitting Governor during 4 years of that period), IDs better have been checked.

In December of 2006, the republican Governor was exposed, and suffered national embarrassment for using illegals for 10 years.

In December of 2007, in a national debate, Rudy Giuliani accused Mitt Romney of having run a “Sanctuary Mansion”. On national TV, Mitt Romney indignantly denied the claim.

A few days after the debate, the Boston Globe decided to look again at Mitt’s house, and guess what, they found Guatemalan illegals, they were working for the same Colombian, MITT HAD NEVER FIRED THEM!

Ten years and a national scandal, turned into 11 years, and into a second national scandal, with all the same players, the same “contractor”, Guatemalan illegals, and the same Mitt Romney and his wife interacting with them at their home during the week.

"...a fiscal conservative and a social liberal."

I know many claim to be that, but I think, in the long run, it's an untenable position, and when push comes to shove, they will invariably come down on the side of liberalism.

For me, at any rate, the attraction of conservatism is its intellectual and philosophical consistency across all aspects of life and government. Frankly, a fiscal conservative believes in lower taxes based on the sanctity of the individual and his entitlement to the fruits of his own labor, and the freedom and responsibility to make choices and accept the consequences of them. It takes more than a few philosophical contortions to state you believe in those things, and then, for example, support the wholesale slaughter of unwanted children.

Singer is a liberal, Romney is a liberal.

Fiscal conservatism and social liberalism are contradictory, and it is an unsustainable combination.

I agree.

But Singer is portrayed here as being the main engine behind Romney's candidacy.

He was a supporting cast member, not the mastermind.

As if Romney needed convincing to run for office, or as if Singer were his only source of funds.

Mitt bought off the Right to Life groups during the primary so they would claim he was pro-life in spite of Romney personally forcing Christian hospitals to give out the morning-after pill, which is forcing somebody to participate in abortion against their will and religious belief. Coerced abortion.

I’ve never looked at those groups the same way. They’ve lost all their credibility because of that. I wish them success in their battle against abortion but I will not stand with them as a group any more.

I voted for Gingrich in the primary and Romney in the general as the lesser of two evils, but for these groups to endorse him in the primary when there were still truly pro-life people in the race is unconscionable. I don’t trust them any more; they’re just political tools up for sale to the highest bidder.

I seriously regret my votes for the last two GOP presidential candidates. I swear it won’t happen again. I refused to see evil right in front of me because I was seeing it too clearly elsewhere.
