Prepare for Government Home Invasions Under Obamacare

Just when you think the progressive liberal power grab can't get more blatant, another ugly example rears its head. It appears that under the umbrella of Obamacare, the government will now send agents into your very home to inspect it and you. Yes, you now have someone else to worry about other than the IRS. David Catron reports in The American Spectator that the federal government will "authorize state agencies throughout the nation to send government inspectors to your house if a 'home visit' is deemed appropriate pursuant to HHS guidelines ostensibly meant to 'create social and physical environments that promote good health for all.'"

The HHS says that this violation of your rights is "an unprecedented opportunity...to improve health and development of at-risk children." Here comes the real kicker as the government defines what "at-risk" children actually are. (Please have blood pressure medication handy!) An "at-risk" child is one who lives in a family that includes people who have served in the armed forces, users of tobacco products, students with low achievement, pregnant women under 21, and more. I personally think that gun owners will also be targeted under such anti-American legislation.

What do these home visits by government thugs mean? It's an attempt to remove every last vestige of individuality and non-conformity as the progressive liberals go into overdrive to force your allegiance to the State. You can bet the bank that parents who home-school their kids will be targeted by the feds. How dare us serfs pull our children out of failing public schools that force big government propaganda down our children's throats? What's to worry about? I'm sure that the federal government has a great track record supporting educational choices. Hmmm....no it doesn't. Obama himself got rid of school vouchers for kids in Washington, D.C. (Yet many who were affected by this still voted for him again.) The Department of Justice, under the odious Eric Holder, is seeking to deport a German family because they home-school their children. They refuse to honor an asylum request despite the fact that the parents are facing serious jail time in Germany just because they dare to home-school their children. (In Germany, home-schooling is illegal and offenders can face jail time.)

As usual, Obama and his progressive cronies urinate on the Constitution at every opportunity. They choose to ignore the Fourth Amendment, which states, "The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated …" Any sane person would agree that the agenda of the HHS and the government are contradictory to the Fourth Amendment. However, we cannot depend upon the Supreme Court as they have shown in the last decade that they are increasingly ignoring the very document that they're supposed to adhere to.

Progressive liberals always cloak their tyrannical power grabs with, "it's for the children!" Obamacare needs to be stopped. Lawmakers (or lawbreakers really) who support this crap need to be kicked out of office. The sad realization is that this will take a long time to do and a tremendous effort. We will have to face and defeat the media, the entrenched bureaucracy, and the political elites of both parties. I just pray that it's not too late.

“And how we burned in the camps later, thinking: What would things have been like if every Security operative, when he went out at night to make an arrest, had been uncertain whether he would return alive and had to say good-bye to his family? Or if, during periods of mass arrests, as for example in Leningrad, when they arrested a quarter of the entire city, people had not simply sat there in their lairs, paling with terror at every bang of the downstairs door and at every step on the staircase, but had understood they had nothing left to lose and had boldly set up in the downstairs hall an ambush of half a dozen people with axes, hammers, pokers, or whatever else was at hand?... The Organs would very quickly have suffered a shortage of officers and transport and, notwithstanding all of Stalin's thirst, the cursed machine would have ground to a halt! If...if...We didn't love freedom enough. And even more – we had no awareness of the real situation.... We purely and simply deserved everything that happened afterward.”

Absolutely brilliant quote and truthful. It also makes me think of Benjamin Franklin’s quote, “We must all hang together, or assuredly we shall all hang separately.” We must stand up before it’s too late.

I’m impressed.

It’s not often you get Solzhenitsyn quoted on FR.

Thanks,

The IRS has been doing “lifestyle audits” for decades. We all should have stood up and stopped it when that started.

But only rich people were affected so we didn’t care so now we’re all screwed.

The faggots who ran with scare stories about “bedroom police” are okay with this.

The feminazi babykillers who make signs telling politicians “stay out of my (7 year old’s) vagina” are okay with this.

Liberalism is a mental disorder. It thinks that Communist rule didn’t go FAR ENOUGH.

That particular quote’s been known to pop up now and again.

I believe I may have posted it myself on at least one occasion.

This might not go as smoothly as they anticipate.

I suspect they don't want it to go smoothly. Resistance is an excuse for force.

Here’s the deal.

They ARE NOT OK with this.

This is and will be the issue for 2014 and certainly 2016.

This is the issue that should destroy the established RINOS and their counterparts in the DemoSh*t party.

It can and should be the re-birth of the “Classic” Liberal.

The values that are held by the Tea party, for the most part.

The time is ripe for Libertarians to make a push to destroy gov’t control.

This is an issue that can make that happen.

Then they should be careful what they wish for.

They cannot win a war of attrition, and “shock and awe” will have frogs jumping out of the pot left and right.

You got on more year, then it is mandatory. I received a letter from my insurance company stating that nurse would be available to visit and assist me with my health problems [they listed a number] and determine if I needed such additional services such as case management. Another FReeper suggested calling and tell them I did nor want the visit or services. I did and was informed that such visits would be voluntarily for this year and one more with the unsaid implication that after that they would be mandatory.

Finally at long last, the people will be getting what they voted for.

They laughed at the notion of “death panels” and said nothing when Bill Gates said that he was okay with the concept of healthcare rationing via death panels.

“for example in Leningrad, when they arrested a quarter of the entire city”

To do that, they will have to shut down cell phones and take away firearms.

Here’s another thought. As police continue to militarize, criminals will copy their approach. Wearing masks and body armor, shouting police! warrant! at 3am will leave half awake residents stunned and confused. Government criminal or regular criminal? Better make up your mind up fast.

>We must stand up before it’s too late.<

.
Isn’t it sad that none of our legislators share this sentiment?

To them, everything in this country is honki-dori.

But they won’t inspect homes to see if people should be on food stamps and other assistance.

They’ll just come into your home to enforce something you didn’t want in the first d#$n place.
