Someone stopped by searching for “why are white people terrified of minorities?”
Good question – If I thought “white people” were actually terrified of minorities, and if I just had a socially acceptable answer to support that belief. So let me scratch my head and walk around that one, while I search for an answer – and a suggested solution should the premise prove viable.
Of course, if the surmise is correct, the problem is called xenophobia, “stranger fear” in ancient Greek. Having seen many competent minorities of all varieties gladly accepted both socially and professionally by whites, I cannot accept that whites generally are xenophobic. Specifically is another matter. There are haters in every group of humans, and the most noticeable of those are the ones who judge a person by skin color.
While I am sure that severe xenophobia exists, many palefaces consider they have good reason to approach unfamiliar black faces with some caution. Essentially, the 2010 census found 12.6 percent of Americans are black while 72.4 percent were white. So there were 5.746 whites to every black Americans. If the percentage of murderers were the same in both populations, there would just under 6 white murderers to each black murderer. Yet the FBI reports that 2,958 of 5,862 or 50.46 percent of black or white ‘offenders,’ murderers, were black. (click on the graphics for a clearer view)
For a closer look at what the Center for Disease Control feels is the age group at greatest risk, here is a graphic that more clearly shows the relationship between black, white, and Hispanic murder rates in the 10 to 24 age group:
Of course, there is a bad reason the black violent crime rates are that high. Those rates are quite representative of a disarmed people whose economic opportunities are limited. Given the facts, it should be obvious that some palefaces, living in areas where the black murder rate is particularly high, have reason to look askance at a strange black face suddenly showing up in front of their house, or even worse, in their “personal space.”
And that leaves us with a two part answer to the question implied in the search.
The solution to the crime rate in disarmed black communities is to enable every law abiding citizen to “take the Old Cops advice*” and avail themselves of the “cactus defense” of “take a bite if you dare but it’s going to hurt you.” Many black societies began to arm, or rather rearm, themselves after the States loosened restrictive gun laws in 1992 and 1993. The result is clearly visible in the CDC graphic, where the homicide rate in the most at-risk segments of black society have been cut in half in just 18 years.
Societies that arm themselves against criminal predation have extremely low violent crime rates; while societies that give criminals an “all safe” signal in the form of restrictive gun and self defense laws are like any other prison. They are unsafe even with armed guards and razor wire topped fences. They are also poverty stricken, since each active criminal on the loose costs their community upwards of a million dollars a year, with the bulk of the costs falling on those living with six blocks of where the criminal sleeps.
The solution to the xenophobia problem is something many are unwilling to try. Small talk. You have no chance of becoming a trusted member of the other guy’s in-group if you don’t talk to members of that group. Talk is the “key that opens many locks.” There is little chance of gaining the mutual trust between demographic groups many say they want unless the groups start with talk about the many smaller things every human has in common.

* The Old Cop’s advice was to “get a gun, learn to use it, and use it if you have to.” A half century later, today’s version would be “get a gun, learn to use it, get a permit, carry it everywhere, and use it when you have to.” The decline in the United State’s crime rate since it became feasible shows just how effective that advice is.

Because there aren’t that many White people that will kill you just for looking at them?
How many of those violent criminals were exposed to lead in childhood, regardless of race?
Would that make me minoraphobic?
I am not “terrified”.
I am seriously concerned, under certain circumstances.
At work with minorities at work, not really at all.
On the sidewalk, depending what they themselves project to be towards everyone else, I am more on my guard. My alert level goes up, but I don’t look for just the obvious either.
In certain parts of town where I would definitely be seriously concerned, I simply do not even put myself in that situation in the first place.
Plus I understand demographics, and crime, and statistics and know that there is good reason to be more alert and aware around certain demographic groups. The groups who have proven to be troublesome by their own behaviors. The wilding/flash mob types. Stealing and beating the sh1t out of strangers on the street.
For everyone who’s for SYG being repealed, ask them why don’t the attackers have a duty to retreat? Why do they get to keep on attacking the victim? Why only the victim has a duty to retreat?
Effing libtard protect-the-attacker morons.
If we can just frame this as it’s like a woman has a duty to try to put a condom on the rapist before failing and being able to fight back.

I am utterly terrified. I am often collapsed under my desk, trembling, clothes askew, in the fetal position, usually in a puddle of my own sick. My skin glistens with the sweat of a nameless fear, and my mouth is open in a silent scream. My pants are drenched in urine, and the smell of loosed bowels fills the room. The horror of my anxious terror looms like a sword above my numbed brain and nonfunctional mouth, as I, hyperventilating, gasp for the air that is never enough.
Or not.

Whites are tired of being racist targets then blamed for the racism.
Young Black Men: 3% of the population. 50% of the murders.
I would be more than delighted to walk anywhere at anytime day or night with the likes of several of the black or Mexican guys I went to high school with. They were decent people. I'd also throw in Thomas Sowell, Will Smith, Sinbad and some guys I knew in college.
They act like normal people, not criminals. They don't dress like thugs, don't present like thugs, don't talk like thugs.
Why this is the elephant in the room no one dares talk about is beyond me. Enough black men - and you can blame your liberal Hollywood networks for exploiting this - act like lawless men that don't give a damn, hence, the stereotype.
It is completely unrealistic to expect anyone to feel otherwise, whether they are black, white, brown, whatever.
Like it or not, behavior and appearances count.
White people are not terrified by minorities — white people are unjustly terrified of being called racist, and minorities take advantage of this fact.
Many whites like to self-flagellate for the sins of their “parents”.
The problem is, it’s difficult to make the argument that Europe’s murder rate is lower than ours because they’re negro and Mexican rate is also lower than ours even though it’s true and well supported by the evidence.
Or Why is a dog eating homosexual Asian pretending to be black our president?
