As a long-time opponent against illegal immigration, whether from Scotland (my heritage) or Canada or Europe or Asia or Africa or latin-America, I have repeated your meme so often. When is enough?
Cultural diversity is a flawed ideology for those who don't understand the differences between cultures and need to find some peace in their One World little pea-brained egos. They have nothing else to support their low self-esteem but to "feel" good about their supposedly righteous positions.
Such "feelings" have always been to the detriment of societies moving forward. I'd talk about my "60's knowledge with hippie communes and how/why they failed, but I've done that too many times on this board. Suffice it to say, it was about "feelings" and not thought processing.
Are the Amazon tribes as equally important to mankind? Are the Africans in the Sudan as important? Do the white trash and white bums contribute? Do the blacks of Detroit, Chicago? No, they don't. All they do is take and never give back.
I will say it again for the umpteenth time, I am not a racist, but I am a culturalist. All cultures are NOT equal, and that includes the black sub-culture who refuses to assimilate and waste their lives and kill each other and impregnate their stupid women and leave but then go back for welfare from their offspring.
Guess what? Whites and Hispanics do the same thing within their "gimme" cultures and locales. Interestingly, that Asians don't so much. Something about family values...the Horror, the Horror! I firmly believe that the future of the world is Asian. Name your country. But then, they may become "gimmes" also if they allow their discipline and values be subjected to freebies.

I fear it is nothing so benign as naivete.
One of the great principles of socialism is not that all people are equal, but that all people must be equalized. That anything that makes people special, unique, exceptional or noteworthy is an enemy of “equality”.
Thus history must be destroyed or corrupted, as well as religion, culture, and languages. They see many things as artificial constructs of no real purpose or value, such as nations, marriage and the family unit, morality and ethics, etc.
Eventually they want all people to be equally gray in color, with nations just administrative districts absorbed into multinational blocs, all under a one world government.
But this is not just in books. There are active organizations that sponsor these ideas, such as the Socialist International, an organization of leftist political parties from around the world. The US Democrat party is an affiliate to them, but not an official member.

A primary target of the Socialist International was the nation of Norway, because they believed that with just 6 million people, unrestricted immigration would soon make it no longer Norwegian.
Just 5 years after the Nazis in Germany founded the Hitler Jugend, to create an ideologically pure next generation of Nazi leaders, the socialist and communist youth movements in Norway merged with the same idea in mind, to create an eventual socialist government in Norway. The Workers’ Youth League (AUF). In effect, it has worked ever since to destroy their nation as a nation.
Initially the efforts of the Social Democrat parties in Europe were to create the European Union bloc. Once that was achieved, the various parties when it power would open their nations borders to unrestricted immigration, on condition that the immigrants would support the socialists.
And this is the situation we find today in the US, supported by members of both political parties. The Bush family, for example, have worked very hard to create a “Union of the Americas”, much like the EU. Internationalist businesses have also supported unrestricted immigration and free trade to get cheap labor.
Much of what conservative Americans think of as “liberal Republicans” or RINOs, is actually a reflection of these internationalist and authoritarian impulses. Steadfastly standing against border controls and advocating amnesty; while working hard to create a military-intelligence-police-industrial state.
Nothing so benign as naivete. They are our enemies, and seek the destruction of our nation.
How about we just insist on using the proper term: illegal aliens? And if they don’t like that we can start calling them something more descriptive: invaders.
