How can an all-woman jury be hung?
To: Biggirl
The jury is all woman.
How are they going to get hung?

And then she’ll slip them each a thousand dollars and whisper “you don’t want to be responsible for riots, do you?”

I suspect a hung jury would bring riots, demonstrations and lots of bad press. The legal process I think would depend on the judge. I suppose she could pass sentence herself. They could retry. I doubt that she would dismiss.

There won’t be. Questions the jury is asking indicate they are about to find him guilty of manslaughter.
Not right...but there it is.

He’ll surely be tried again. And so forth...until he’s convicted, acquitted or a judge rules that the State cannot prosecute him again.

Or the judge will tell them to reach a decision or they will rot in sequestered mode and she will release their names and addresses if they come back with the “wrong” decision!!!

Any jury I am on would be considered well hung.

Partial riots, not full riots.
To: Vendome
If there is a riot, I think they would find that men and women get hung in the same way.

I’ve said all along they’ll “compromise” on manslaughter, even though legally, if they believe he was acting in self defense, they should find him not guilty of that.
To: RepRivFarm
I would hate to be a jurist to learn later of evidence that was not allowed in the court that may have had an influence on a decision.

Can one imagine what will happen to the women and their families if they vote to not convict. First the media releases their names and then ... Have to figure these women are scared to death for themselves and their families. Going to take some brave ladies to do the right thing.
