I heard it. It was jaw dropping.

ConCon is the Hail Mary Pass. Fraught with dangers as we run a high risk of it being hijacked by activists with the Obama “positive rights” agenda.

The fact that a Conservative voice as prominent as Levin has given up on all other methods is quite telling.

It's too late for that now....the Amnesty will take us to the next level of Parasitic Populace, which outnumbers the Constitution-supporting HONEST Americans.

The U.S. Constitution would look like the Communist Manifesto, which we are living under now. The Constitution is totally ignored by ALL THREE "Branches" of Government.

A Constitutional Convention can only propose amendments to the Constitution. Those amendments would still need to be ratified by 3/4ths of the states.

BINGO!

No way. It is a time of peril for the Constitution and only a jerk would call for revisions while we have to deal with a dictator and a tyrannical administration. Talk about giving an enemy of America an opportunity to sink us totally. NO!

I fear a second convention because of all the bad that such an action could introduce. How many of the original rights do you think would be recognized from our current Bill of Rights? How many of those rights would contain "qualifiers," if they were recognized?

Somewhere, in such a new document, would give whatever future government, the "flexibility" to suspend such rights when the government sees fit. And such a document isn't worth the paper on which it's printed.

I did not misrepresent what he proposes.

America will not regain her honor and splendor until the blood of tyrants is made to flow in our streets.

The only thing that can save us now is the same thing that just saved Egypt from the Brotherhood, IMO.

Which is exactly WHY Obama moved quickly to defund the military, fill its ranks with queers and purge any non-apparatchiks from the officer corps.

That's EXACTLY how I saw it, too.

38 States to ratify.

Given that Liberals will prevail in CA, OR, WA, ME, MA, VT, CT, RI, NH, NJ, NY, NH, MD, DE, MN, MI, that makes 16 states that Conservative Amendments could never win ratification in.

I say, a New Amendment is needed that re-states the Tenth Amendment to make very, very, very clear what powers the States have, vis-a-vis the Feds. Even to the point of perfect specificity where the Fed Govt cannot intrude.

I dread to think what ‘modern’ moderates and progressives would do in a constitutional convention.

Of course, the attendees would be appointments by current political interests. Having a general election would not necessarily improve things. Consider Congresses of the last 2 decades — they get to Washington and go about completely ignoring the will of the people.

I can't think of 10 6 3 any people I would trust writing new constitutional provisions.

I can foresee the results, and I didn’t even need to call Miss Cleo:

A 10,000 page document with 100 amendments — that they have to pass before they can know what is in it.

{cringe}

The fix would be in, no good amendment would ever make it.

We’re dealing with thieves, not honest people. Those running it, and those reporting on it can ensure that such a process will kill any good amendments in favor of the lattest faggotry.

The only things I’d be interested in are repeal of the 16th and 17th amendments (and on days when I’m in a particularly bad mood, the 19th as well(just kidding, sort of )).

Wht we need is a better generation. What we need are people willing to call out the truth when they see it. We need people above reproach.

Only a morally upright people can have the honesty to do the right things. Only morally upright can fix what is wrong in any document or institution.

The Constitution was made for an upright people who prized virtue. Such is no longer the case regarding the American people. In the sermon last Sunday at my church, the Pastor stated he would be fine with seeing the destruction of this country, if it meant America would be brought to repentance. I think that is now the only hope.
