According to todays release by the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, 31 of the 50 states have experienced significant job growth over the last 12 months. It might not come as a huge surprise, but states with GOP governors (8 of the top 10) and right-to-work states (7 of the top 10, in bold) dominate the top of the list in terms of job growth over the last 12 months...

Shocked!
I get a hoot out of Texas governor Rick Perry inviting companies from blue states to move down to the Lone Star State!
On a strictly factual basis, this may be true. However, it is really just another racially motivated attack on the Black Man in the White House (TM).
Obama calls them targets for the NSA and the IRS.
So ironic that Republican governors and fracking have saved this economy from the ruin that Obama’s Marxist policies would have caused.
he better not keep asking for these people from liberal socialist cess pits to move to TX because while some conservative might move, so will liberals.
The left are too stupid to understand that when they move they should understand why they are moving, homosexuals move and then moan about not having their sham , union thugs move and the moan about right to work, elderly north easterner snowbirds move and the moan about how conservative it is .
The left are too stupid to understand the south is not a place for the elitist socialist types
A trailing indicator rather than a leading indicator - they have Republican governors because the majority of voters in the states WANT to work rather than suck welfare. It's a reflection on the population of the states.
I would think that conversely ten out ten states with the least job growth are run by democrats!
Strictly an assumption for those who ask for proof.
I live in Maryland. Here is what my Governor has done for me.
O’Malley’s fans in the press and media have proclaimed the Governor has had another successful session. Let us review the gifts that O’Malley has provided for his fellow Marylanders during the past 6 ½ years:
Gas Tax hike
Sales Tax hike
Alcohol Sales Tax hike
Rain Tax
Flush Tax Increase
Toll Tax Increase
Surcharge fee for windmills
Surcharge fee for power company infrastructure
Hundred thousandaire tax
Millionaire tax
Hospital tax on beds
Corporation tax increase
Death certificate fee increase
Birth certificate fee increase
Tobacco tax increase
Vehicle title tax increase
More than 30 tax and fee increases confiscating 7 billion dollars from Maryland families
Record high debt to the point of placing Maryland on the Triple A Watch List
Gun bill
Convicted felons voting
New college for prison inmates
Early release policies for violent criminals
Mismanagement of the state’s prison system
Amnesty for juvenile criminals
Driver’s licenses for illegal aliens
Discounted college tuition for illegal aliens
Public benefits to attract more illegal aliens to Maryland
2 billion dollars in hidden taxes and costs to support 300,000 illegals in Maryland with more on the way
Increases from $50 million to more than $200 million dollars in costs for English language training
Same sex marriage
Stole taxpayers’ money from state trust funds in order to balance a dishonest budget
Confiscated more than $1 billion dollars from the transportation trust fund
Used most of the gas tax revenue and transportation trust fund to subsidize busses, light rail, and subways creating a welfare mass transit system
Speed cameras
Created a big brother type state government with authority over local government with Plan Maryland and Smart Growth
Created an extremist environmental atmosphere, harming agriculture, farming, and small business
Lost 100,000 jobs, lost 10,000 small businesses, and lost more than 40,000 residents since the beginning of his term in office
Martin O’Malley, as President, will do to America what he has done to Maryland.
And therefore, the York County, Pennsylvania Council of Realtors presents our Man of the Year Award to Governor Martin OMalley.
Which illustrates the continued weakness in the economy.
We need raise import tariffs and put Americans back to work and neither party is talking about how to put Americans back to work.
Democrats want more taxes. Meanwhile the GOP is killing any chance of election gains by talking about cutting food stamps.
Neither deals with the unemployment situation.

Put another way - So ironic that Republican governors have saved this economy from the ruin that Obamas fracking Marxist policies would have caused.
Fortunately the rest of the country isn’t like PG county Montgomery county and Baltimore City. His crap plays well with parasites, but there aren’t as many elsewhere as there are in the northeast and middle atlantic states.
Sorry it is not the responsibility of this Government to protect jobs.. Also I guess you are no longer a conservative if you hate the fact that we need to cut food stamps..
And the right way to cut food stamps is to put Americans back to work. Not arbitrarily cut food stamps when 23% of Americans are out of work (shadowstats.com).
And where do you get off saying it's not the government's job to protect jobs. Is it the government's job to tax domestic producers more than it taxes foreign producers? Is that a conservative position you are supporting? At the very least I'd think a conservative position would be that foreign producers should be taxed at least as much as domestic producers.
And while I'm shooting down your non-sensical positions...Do you think it's conservative to let a communist government intentionally drive our industries out of business?
Our founding fathers warned us against foreign entanglements, but you think being depending on China for military parts is conservative? You have a strange version of conservative.
Yeah in the last 40 years. And now we have 23% unemployment and more dependent on foreign nations than we ever have been.
Here's an article that shows the average tariff since the start of the country. Check out the last column in the chart.
When our country has 23% unemployment and the stores are filled with merchandise from China, Americans aren't being denied a good paying job. They are being denied any job at all.
Why did the founding fathers give Congress the responsibility to regulate trade with foreign countries? Article 1, Section 8, third responsibility of Congress. You act like no regulation on trade should ever be needed. But that's not what our Founding fathers knew.
