The Supreme Court of the United States does not decide for me whether or not I can pray anywhere in Jesus’ name.

“Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.”

How is a town council acting as Congress making a law?

“Dr. Chaps” earned his PhD in Theology at Regent University, is an Air Force Academy graduate, motivational speaker and is the former U.S. Navy Chaplain who made national headlines after being vindicated by Congress, when he took a stand for the rights of military chaplains to pray publicly “in Jesus’ name.”

By sacrificing his own 16-year career and a million dollar pension, by demanding his own court martial for the “crime” of worshiping in public, he inspired 300,000 petitioners, 85 percent of polled voters, 35 pro-family groups, and 75 Congressmen who mobilized to overturn the national military “non-sectarian prayer” policy, restoring the rights of military chaplains of all faiths to pray publicly, in uniform, according to the dictates of their conscience, even if they pray “in Jesus’ name.”

God bless him.

It is absolutely incredible how powerful the name Jesus Christ is... Just His name- alone sets fear and trembling in people’s hearts.

The House moved to its current location on the south side of the Capitol in 1857. It contained the "largest Protestant Sabbath audience" in the United States when the First Congregational Church of Washington held services there from 1865 to 1868. Nearly 2000 assembled every Sabbath for services.

In this present national situation, any prayer, evoked or invoked by an American, is good enough for me.

Notice I said, “American”, I did not say a particular religious group, (and I exclude MOOslims from this, because all their reported prayers like us being in this present situation, or worse).

Atheists argue that they have “their rights”, but they exercise those ‘rights’, in trying to shut down the rights of you and me, to pray as we see fit, as individual Americans. So, I exclude them from my statement. You can take them to ‘your prayer closet’. I’ll find a nice piece of wood with the number ‘34’ stamped in the bottom, considering all the help they have given us to make this nation better for our kids, than when we were kids.

How Orwellian!

Pornography - "Protected Speech!"

Burning the U.S. Flag - "Protected Speech!"

Works of "art" that depict the Theotocus as a whore - "Protected Speech!"

Depictions of Jesus Christ immersed in urine - "Protected Speech!"

Any mention of "God" in a public forum - Violation of "Separation of Church and State."

Prayers invoking Jesus - "Illegal Speech!"

Double-Plus-Ungood!!!

So it would be legal to pray to God (The Father) but not the Jesus (The Son)? The SCOTUS is ruling as to the Unity of the Holy Trinity?

[[SCOTUS to decide if “Jesus” prayers are illegal speech]]

Well let’s see- do “Jesus Prayers” FORCE anyone to convert to Christianity under penalty of law? No? Hmmm

Do “Jesus Prayers” Establish a national religion which MUST be obeyed under penalty of the law? No? Hmmm

Case solved- “Jesus Prayers” are NOT illegal speech- Ouir supreme court is NOT in business to ‘protect people’s overly sensitive feelings’ They are there to protect our constitutional rights- period! Show us where the constitution mentions that peopel can’t Pray to Jesus or God- when they can do that, then maybe they will have an actual case to hear-

Perhaps the Scotus shoudl reconvene on the unconstitutuional health care law and rehear the case to find out where our govenrment is allowed to FORCE peopel to buy soemthign they DO NOT WANT

NEVER have we been FORCED to buy anything- We could, if we so chose to- Go compeltely off grid, livign entirely off the land and never pay another dime to Anyone IF we so chose to do so- But now that INALIENABLE RIGHT has been taken from us thanks to the traitor john roberts and we are now FORCED to buy health care or else pay a penalty- If we choose not to pay the pnalty, we are made criminals-

We’ll see how many traitors siude with hte left in the SC this time

SCOTUS has no business regulating speech or prayer (which is also speech)

In August 2012, U.S. District Court Judge Charles Siragusa disagreed, ruling that prayers in Jesus’ name were not a violation of the U.S. Constitution.

But a three-judge panel of the Second Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals in May 2012 overturned Siragusa’s decision

How can a ruling be overturned 3 months before it is made?
