Was being forced to go to the back of the bus, or being refused counter service at a diner wrong, or just cases of ‘bad customer service’? Discrimination is discrimination.

There are two quite different tracks to follow. The first is what were considered normal work practices ~ and aggregating cases from similar groups in the same package for review has been normal for ever and a day. That way you avoid unnecessary conflict when Chapter A gets approved and Chapter B, otherwise an identical part of the same organization, gets disapproved!

It is also more efficient, plus if this is an organization new to applying for whatever status is involved, you, the analyst, need only educate the applicant once ~ not a dozen times!

That's the first track. So far nothing we've seen is out of line. However there's the second track. That begins when higher levels of management observe that normal operations are running counter to GOOD POLITICAL SENSE. Even if those operations are appropriate, in any government agency you really need to change the process so that there's no appearance of impropriety ~ because in gub'mnt APPEARANCE IS ALL.

What IRS' higher levels of management did was REWARD each other ~ and they did nothing about what was sure to become a problem. After all, people in the targeted organizations talk to each other! Stories spread. Here on FR we've seen dozens of them ~ disjointed at first, and now clear.

The folks to punish are the managers ~ and I don't mean to just fire them ~ it's time to hustle them off to the federal bureaucrat detention wing at the old federal prison in Petersburg. They'll like that ~ among their own kind.

NOBO2012 ~:”(From the title) IRS Targeting, Benghazi, Not Scandals: It’s Really Just a Case of Horrible Customer Service “

Agreed ! They are not scandals ~ just more of the same !
What they really are is CRIMINAL actions by an irresposible administration
who is following the “ Chicago Way “ both globally and nationwide.

A president who swore to uphold the Constitution and the “Laws of the Land” ,
seems to me that he is too selective as to which laws he will uphold,
and which laws he will ignore ,
and which laws he will violate !
Benghazi was aiding and abetting international murder
IRS is political control , and ‘fixing’ an election by supression
There is no accountability demanded yet from Congress

Miller/Schulman should be thrown in jail and impeachment hearings should start. Unless this happens this country is truly lost its soul!!!

It`s double LIE_

There is no such animal as a “customer” in the IRS:
The IRS wants to re-define the term “”customer”
“CUSTOMER -one that purchases a commidity or service”= Merriam-Webster Dictionary

“Customer Surveys
www.irs.gov/uac/Customer-Surveys - April 22, 2013
Customer Surveys. The IRS conducts customer satisfaction surveys
by telephone, by mail and online to capture taxpayer ...”
