You are so right. On the rare occasions when I tune into, say, the Morning Joe show, usually for the schadenfreude of something like the failed gun control bill, the fear and loathing is bright in their faces and in their voices.
"We must tolerate and even embrace those who commit violence in the name of evil because they will hurt us so badly one day unless we can convince them of our love..."
That is the message of everything they say and do.
