Emitting more CO2 won’t warm us up. The Earth’s weather is a giant heat-regulating machine, so that the mean temp stays about the same regardless of how much heat is added to it by the sun and human activity.
Should be obvious, but: every day the sun loads the Earth with heat. More in Summer, less in Winter. Most of the heat is re radiated off into space. Turn off the sun and the Earth freezes in 2 days.
The amount of heat added by human activity is trivial compared to that added by the sun.
