The Nuge: Woo-Hoo! State OK's Teachers With Guns

If you are addicted to common sense and logic, South Dakota should bring a smile to your face.

These sensible Americans just passed a law allowing teachers to carry weapons in school as a means to protect their students from terminal psychos hell-bent on committing mass murder.

This is good and further proof that all is not lost.

Allowing teachers to chose to carry a concealed weapon is the right way to go. While the NRA and common-sense Americans support putting armed guards in schools, for those districts who can’t afford an armed guard, allowing teachers to carry a concealed weapon is sound and wise policy.

The hand-wringing lefties are already protesting South Dakota’s law. They are claiming arming teachers will lead to accidental shootings and will make schools more dangerous.

As usual, they are wrong and hypocrites of the first degree. The D.C. school where the president’s daughters attend reportedly has 11 armed guards. Hey, if it’s good enough for the president’s kids, why isn’t it good enough for all schools?

Utah has permitted teachers to carry personal artillery for over a decade with not a single accidental shooting.

Hell, I’ve had unlimited access to unlimited firepower my entire 64 years and have been a rock-solid asset to my fellow man forever.

South Dakota is also trying ban abortion. Sounds like a good place to escape to. We have friends who have 25 acres in the hills looking down at lake Oahe. They are building a home there. It’s beautiful.

OK, I looked. It really does say “OK’s” but doesn’t mean “Oklahoma’s”!

We looked at moving there a few years ago, but the wife wanted to live in a larger town than Hot Springs. Now we’re looking at the St George, Utah area. She loved it when we took a recent day trip there.

Oh! Sorry for the confusion. We just wish Oklahoma would, too.

Meanwhile in NY and UT, they have decided that the already strict gun control laws that haven’t and won’t prevent mass shooting aren’t strict enough.

I remember when the teachers only needed a big axx ruler to keep the peace.

I was watching an old episode of “Death Valley Days” not too long ago about a young schoolmarm who arrives in a rough western town with a classroom of wild, unruly students. To garner their attention and respect, while two students sitting at their desks are tossing a ball back and forth, the schoolmarm pulls out a six-gun and shoots the ball to smithereens while it was in flight. She gained there respect from then on.

Anyway, it just made me think of this issue regarding teachers and guns! Would love to see a 2013 replay, with some teacher shooting a cell-phone out of some student’s hand. Might upset some liberals, but to hell with them.

Until some teacher shoots the principal.

Are you serious? As if “some teacher” could not already shoot a principle if he wanted to.

No. This would be a great deterrent for would-be killers out there, knowing that there are armed people inside schools. They’ll be apt to think twice before attacking school kids.

I am not serious, but that was the argument made about arming pilots if you recall.

Oh, good! I thought that surely there was not a FReeper who would say such a dumb, libtard thing. There was no sarcasm tag, so I was fooled.
