Our constitution provides no role for government in this matter. None at all.
And the constitution certainly also does not limit or define your rights according to whether you live in the city limits or outside them.
Barf! Why do so many people ignore our social contract in this country nowadays? (It is a pretty good one, especially when you look at those that are trying to destroy us -— Islamofascism, Communist Chin, ... maybe? One thing all the dictatorial or oppressive regimes have in common is “gun control to protect the people”)...go figure.

Okay, should we throw out the baby with the bathwater? I think if we pulled Dr. Carson aside and said, “Your other views are great. The way you handled the President at the National Prayer Breakfast was awesome. Now I realize you have never campaigned before, but the second amendment is a non-negotiable item”. Personally, I in no way agree with his position on guns. However I agree with a lot of the other things he says. Lets not send him to the gallows yet...
Make them all illegal. Then I can own anything I want.
He's right. If you live within the borders of the USA and are a citizen you are allowed to own a semiautomatic weapon in fact you should own many of them. Well except me of course. I am a pacifist and don't own any guns.
