And that a goodly portion of the military will take their Bradley IFVs, M-2 .50 cal. MGs, F-16s, Abrahms MBTs, Cobra helicopters, TOWs and artillery with them when they leave?

That's correct. MRAPs aren't difficult to destroy, but they do an outstanding job of protecting the occupants inside.

I hope the good people still left in the military are working on ways to ensure that they can take control of arms and ammunition, and vehicles like this, if they have to. If the resistance can get access to a good number of ammo supply centers, then all those bullets and all that equipment can be diverted to freedom fighters. There would have to be a trigger event, and people would have to move quickly, because access would be severely restricted once it became clear that the marxists were seizing power and the old rules no longer applied.
