My first furlough day will probably be April 26th.
The furlough will be a 20 percent reduction in pay for the year but I’ll do my part to reduce the budget. At least my department does things actually mentioned in the constitution (defense).

I woke up this morning and the world as we know it had not ended — it’s a miracle.

While my husband is happy about the cuts (he was Navy and retired after 37 years from DOD at STRATCOM, and was asked to open military contracting office near base) he had to let 3 men go this week. He does all he can to help them find work, but he really feels bad for them. He says he sees so much waste in defense, but also has to live with doing hard things.
Its so sad to see the ignorant people out there trusting obama and most of the media his propaganda machine. Woodward started a flicker of hope that miracles can happen. I'm praying for that.

Glenn Beck is hilarious today with Sequesterpocalypse. Planes are falling out of the air, houses are burning, power is shutting down which is a real problem because the sun went out at midnight. One of his crew can't talk because his microphone was repossessed. And the Four Horseman are pulling a wagon full of federal employees to hell.
