When I first came to Illinois for a joint assignment at USMEPCOM, the state was generally a “purple” one, split somewhat evenly between dems and GOPers. It’s stunning to see how far to the left Illinois has gone. Like California and NY, it’s conquered territory.

Illinois, like about a dozen other states, will become part of the Communist States of America when secession of the rest of the states occurs. The CSA will be a workers' and peasants' paradise and we'll be free,prosperous...and we'll have most of the energy and most of the food. ;-)
I’m tired of this state, build up my career, and hopefully move to Texas in two years.
