Inside the Beltway: The war on Rove escalates
The Washington Times ^ | 7 February, 2013 | Jennifer Harper

Posted on 02/07/2013 5:49:42 AM PST by COBOL2Java

A bristling group of 25 traditional conservatives are out to protect one of their own in a new push against the “establishment Republicans” of Karl Rove’s American Crossroads. The coalition has sent a letter of protest to Steven Law, president of the super-duper PAC, following an interview with the organization’s spokesman that aired Wednesday on a talk radio station in the nation’s capital:

“We cannot and will not abide the unjust, personal broadside your aide Jonathan Collegio leveled against a man whose family has dedicated itself to advancing the cause of liberty for over half a century. This morning Mr. Collegio attacked L. Brent Bozell III and labeled him as a ‘hater’ twice in an interview,” notes the group, which includes radio host Mark Levin, Family Research Council President Tony Perkins, Citizens United President David Bossie, Reagan historian Craig Shirley, conservative maven Richard Viguerie, Tea Party Patriots co-founder Jenny Beth Martin and Frank Gaffney, president of the Center for Security Policy.

Mr. Bozell, incidentally, is the founder of the Media Research Center. The group now suggests that Mr. Law fire Mr. Collegio, who Tuesday told Inside the Beltway that American Crossroads supports tea party candidates and abides by a tenet of the late William F. Buckley, who maintained that the most viable candidate is the one who can actually win an election.

“American Crossroads and the so-called Conservative Victory Project have already been severely marginalized. The sheer audacity of political consultants maligning a beloved and critically important player in American history is simply a bridge too far,” the group concludes. “You obviously mean to have a war with conservatives and the tea party. Let it start here.”

Tokyo Rove vs Bozell 3?

Gorby vs the Gipper for all intents and purposes in today's political climate..

Rove had his behind handed to him this past election. Has he changed in any way since then? It is intellectually arrogant to take a whipping and not look at why you lost and make changes. Doubling down on a losing strategy shows that he is out of touch.

Roger Ailes, el presidente del zorro noticias canales, is easily fooled ~ as is his bossman Rupert Murdock, guy named Adelson and his crony in the grocery store racket, Perry.

These people are amateurs in politics and no more prepared to figure out what a good candidate is about than some guy down in his rec room watching a football game drunk on his tail.

If it were otherwise their candidates would win, but they don't.

About $116,000,000? Damn!

I see Bob Perry’s name on the list. He killed the Sanctuary City legislation in Texas awhile back. I know Bob and while his story is an amazing one it is disappointing to see him support Rove. Bob owns Gov. Rick Perry so this is interesting.

An attack by Fifth Column Backstabber and RINO Rove
makes L. Brent Bozell III ... a patriot and a hero.

I thought FNC had dumped Tokyo but now I see he is back. We have pretty much stopped watching Fox or any MSM channel. They all push the party line.

“Roger Ailes, el presidente del zorro noticias canales, is easily fooled..”

And just what do you base that bit of nonsense on? Ailes has been engaged in politics since the 60s and at the highest levels.

He hangs with Imus and his old bud Hannity since he lost all credibility last November (at least equal asshole Dick Morris moved on to CNN, you would think Karl would take the hint too)—FNC is scared of him plain and simple cuz the GOP-e RINOs still kiss his azz.

Now there’s an article that says Tokyo may get involved in the GA senate race and try to deep six Paul Broun who is great. Rove has got to go.

Karl's just taking on the mantle of his good buddy and soul mate, Trent Lott:

What do i base it on? Dude just signed Rove up for 3 more years. An astute political observer would have waited a tad to see who was going to attack the guy ~ now he’s stuck with a guy who happens to alienate the majority (85% is a majority) of the Republican party.

If Rove & Co. Refer to Bozell as a "hater" this only shows that they are sold out liberals.

Bozell is a God fearing, pro-American, conservative, that holds strong pro-life, pro-family, pro-small government investigative reporter.

Bozell shines the light into dark places, especially in the so-called objective media.

There is good reason for Rove & Co to fear him, thus the Alinsky attempt to negatively define an opponent. They know he will reveal their true motives and back alley attempts to slime good and decent conservatives.

Way past due! This man really needs to be removed from any leadership in the party! He is divisive and wrong on so many issues.
