It is a major difference that we have a little media now. We had virtually none in 1994. Rush even refused to talk about guns at all.

But the big difference was the revolution of 1994, when the Republicans took the House and the Senate for the first time in 40 years. The legislators still fear that, and they know that the MSM cannot protect them. On the other hand, they fear what the MSM can do to them.

Only G and PG rated weapons. No R or NC17 weapons allowed this year.

What a cowardly crock. Here in MA, the insane Deval Patrick (Obama's Mini-Me) is proposing new laws to ban any weapons or magazines that hold more than 7 rounds or look "scary," This includes confiscation and banning of resale of any such. Also no grandfathering (you die, your weapons are confiscated). Also, banning "high-powered ammo" (WTF does that mean?) which would end hunting in the state. Also requiring every private firearm in the state to have its own insurance policy and more.

We'll see how much of this crazy's proposals become law.

p.s. Deval is also proposing an insane $2.8B increase in state taxes to give to government unions.

Good words to remind ALL gun owners and gunmakers of ALL stripes as well as true Second Amendment supporters....

In 1994, scary-looking rifles were exotic and didn't have broad appeal. Back then, owners of traditional firearms and indeed many hunters couldn't have cared less about the 1994 AWB. It was mainly gun-rights activists, the militia movement, and collectors that were galvanized.

Now, black rifles and tactical guns are mainstream. Ordinary sporting goods retail stores (Walmart, Academy) stocked them - until the last few weeks.
