I'm just thinking of the field day Fox will have with this...and all the wing nuts who will insist the county is being taken over by Muslims. I wish Gore had waited to find another buyer...

I would have been OK with Glenn Beck buying it.

I wonder if Al Gore will share his gains with those at Current who will soon be unemployed.

Jenny Grandtheft is out but she probably wouldn't wear the burka. Lord knows we tried to get her to put a bag over her head for 12 years in Michigan.

But the deal was not signed until Wednesday."

I sense one of 2 things...

1. TurboTax Timmy will issue a waiver on this sale before he leaves; or,

2. Since The Goracle is a member of the 1%, he will be able to afford a CPA that will find an exemption, somewhere, in the tax code.

Either one will circle the DU-drain before anyone gets to report/comment.

I’m surprised the DUmmies didn’t come up with the argument that Al Gore really scored one for the cause by draining the oil sheiks of $500 million, repatriating their ill gotten gains to US soil and saddling them with Current TV, which even fewer people will watch now—thus using less electricity and reducing the carbon footprint of his beloved country.

Whew! I’m dizzy from going through those loops.

He is a private citizen who was f*cked out of the Presidency that he won. His family life has crumbled, he's getting old, he is no longer a public official and he hasn't been for some time now. He doesn't "owe" me a goddamn thing. If he wanted to try to hang on to more of his money, LEGALLY, I'm not going to carp at him for so doing.

Who knew algore is posting at daily kos?? Still not over the lost election of 2000.

Why are muslims (citizens of islam) allowed to own anything in this country? As it always has been, islam is the enemy of the reasonable, rational, sane world. Islam is the anti-christ because it denies the anointing of Jesus as Christ. Islam calls Jesus just a man. Meanwhile, they revere a barbaric, insane war lord as their standard for living.

I saw this thread in Dummieland and was hoping you had picked up on it. Here's another good one :

Al Gore stands to gain about $70 million after selling Current TV to al-Jazeera

[He had to sell to Al Jazeera. No other suckers were available.]

Actually, Glen Beck tried to buy the station. But Gore's group nixed the deal because they didn't like Beck's politics. So they sold it to an anti-Israel hate group instead.

“That makes for better content, but it’s called “mass” media for a reason.”

I thought it was called Mass Media because that’s where liberals go to get the daily sacrament from their little gods.

Algore is coming here to St. Louis, to the St. Louis County Library!

He's promoting his new book, "The Future: Six Drivers of Global Change." However, you need a bit more than "global change" to get in to have an audience with the Goracle. It costs $35 for a ticket and a "pre-signed" book:

Ticket packages are $35 (admits ONE and includes one pre-signed copy of "The Future") or $50 (admits TWO and includes one pre-signed copy of "The Future").

This will knock out the 99%, of course. Algore caters to the moneyed elite, Hollywood movie moguls, Arab sheiks, and such.
