Establish a Gun Free Zone around the President; Send Secret Service Home (Now over 10,000)
Gun Watch ^ | 30 December, 2012 | Dean Weingarten

In a brilliant act of political satire, someone has created a petition to the white house here to create a gun free zone around the President and Vice President. All guns would be eliminated there, and the Secret Service would not have any.

If it is good enough for our children, It is good enough for the president, the logic goes.

I am constantly amazed that people are perfectly comfortable around someone with a gun, if the person is wearing a uniform. Remove the uniform, and the same people become very uncomfortable.

Post a ‘Gun Free Zone’ sticker on the phony’s forehead. That’ll work.

In a brilliant act of political satire

But it is more than satire. It helps frame the argument with liberals, showing them the disconnect between their logic, their flawed solution, and their desired outcomes. Facts seldom convince the liberals, but it is good sport to watch them defend their undefendable religion.

I was thinking about the NRA idea of armed guards in schools and how the Left was so quick to label the proposal “insane”. I went to the supermarket last night and noticed there was a cop, hired by the store, standing guard at the front of the store. I realized the store has always had a cop. I makes business sense.

Now if it makes business sense for a supermarket to hire a cop to protect the registers, and the roast beefs for that matter; why is it “insane” for a school to hire a cop to protect the kids?

This is an awesome petition. Find ways to spread this around!

The sheer numbers alone can send a message about the foolish philosophy of no armed personnel at schools. The liberal elites have their children protected by armed staff, why not our children?

David Gregory, the NBC propagandist, derided the NRA for suggesting armed guards. Gregory’s children go to a school with armed guards.

At the heart of this issue is the idea of fairness. Those in power have no problem with guns; they just have a problem with *you* possessing guns.

Will the people of the U.S.A. let a tiny number of elitists in the MSM rule them and disarm them?

The same is true for airports. Why not just declare them gun-free-zones and get rid of all the security?

Why not provide schools at least *some* of the same security measures as airports?
