Foxx was only playing on the meme that blacks are usually the first ones killed in movies and usually play the buddy or the one that dies early in the film rather than the substantial characters.

He is making the point that it is neat / rare for him to be playing a black guy (that is a hero protagonist) in a movie where the white guys are the bad guys.

Usually it is the white guy as the hero shooting brown people that plays well at the box office (according to him).

Obviously he’s not watched many hollywood movies lately. That might have been how it was back in the 70s - 90s, but lately the old white guys are killed off first. The people of color are made to look like saints.

For at least since the 60's, it's been pretty much forbidden by the PC police to have a black bad guy unless the good guy is also black.

Can you visualize the reaction if a white actor had said, even in jest, "I kill all the black people in the movie. How great is that?". His career would be over, FOREVER!
