Papa Johns of the world don’t get that Obama cares about employee’s health (Don't read while eating)
The Baltimore Post-Examiner ^ | November 28, 2012 | Doug Hissom

This election season brought out some of the more bizarre behavior we’ve seen from corporations across the country.

Having unlimited access to candidates through unlimited campaign contributions wasn’t enough. Some CEO types got on bully pulpits to blast the president and his health care plan before the election.

Some of that rhetoric was over the top. Some of it could have been illegal.

Papa John’s CEO John Schnatter warned that he would raise his pizza prices from 15 cents to 20 cents per order to pay for Obamacare, which could bring the third largest pizza delivery operation in the U.S. millions more in health for its bottom line. After all, he’s got to find some way to pay for those 2 million free pizzas Peyton Manning promised NFL fans from the “official pizza of the NFL.” Pizza Hut and Dominos—numbers one and two—have been mum on the topic.

All that talk from Schnatter ranks up there with anchovies on the political palate–you love it or you hate it. Little guys like Ian’s Pizza in Madison and Milwaukee, Wisconsin chose its side in the argument when it fed protesters at the state Capitol free pizza during a tumultuous union busting debate the state legislature was holding last year. Its largess was highlighted in the New York Times, after donations for pizzas came from all over the world...

McJobs used to be for teens to learn about what it was like to have a job, and moonlighters to pick up some extra cash.

In the Baraqqi Depression, McJobs have become THE PRIMARY AVAILABLE mainstream career jobs and the MSM thinks they should provide UAW level wages and benefits.

And this cornhole says he is an outdoorsman?

This must be satire, no rational human being that is not a government bureaucrat or a union official can be this incredibly stupid.

A few years ago, when gas prices went over $3 per gal, we stopped ordering pizza. We had been ordering pizza delivery at least once per week and sometimes twice. We started buying Red Baron Pizza at the grocery store and adding toppings.
In 1999, at age 48, I stopped working full time. I just decided I didn’t want to work and give most of my pay to the government to be wasted.
I just wish Congress would realize, how we respond to what goes on in the marketplace when we are faced with taxes and high prices. They appear to be clueless.
Perhaps, they are blinded by the $ signs of the bribes.

Hissom is a crybaby. He doesn’t like the Left getting bitchslapped by conservative businessmen who are legally allowed to make corporate and individual political contributions.

Now, when George Soros gives hundreds of millions of dollars to his fronts (Open Society Institute, Center for American Progress), and associated marxist groups such as the Apollo Alliance, Joyce Foundation, etc, Hissom is silent.

Hope this crybaby takes his toys and goes home to mama.

Obamacare is also requiring pizza resteraunts to post nutrition information for every possible combination. Rep John Carter is sponsoring a bill that may reduce some of the burdening regulation. I emailed the following to Rep Carter:Subject: WEBHEA

Message: Rep Carter, I applaud your efforts to bring some common sense to the menu regulations for pizza restraunts and other food establishments. I see that one of the points is caloric content by slice instead of a whole pizza to avoid frivilous lawsuits; however I would like to point out that pizzas are not cut into even slices so I fear that could lead to even more expense and lawsuits. Perhaps instead of working on getting Americans back to work our “leaders” would have to spend their time calculating the exact size of lawful pizza slices.

The Pappa John’s and the Hobby Lobbies and the Christian hospitals of the world should quit. Then it would be obvious who cares and who merely seeks to mandate and control.

The last thing these ‘DO NOTHINGS’ need is more ideas on how to waste time and OUR money.

I am conjuring up a swat like team descending on a local pizzeria and dragging the owner out in cuffs because the micrometer showed a slice one RCH out of kilter.

I was actually thinking that if that were to happen maybe people would see the idiotcy of all this, but I’m probably giving too much credit to some of our people. The way it is written now it opens up for lawsuits because it is based on a whole pizza and if an extra slice of pepperoni was on a pizza it wouldn’t be following regulation. I guess there will be new lawyers specializing in pizza infractions.

On this forum can you explain what you mean by an "RCH"?

The author doesn’t seem to grasp that the corporate assets of the Pappa John’s of the world are not Obama’s to command.

That’s an old military term for “a tiny bit”. The first word is “red”; the last is “hair”. I’ll leave the middle one for you. :=)

The only command qualification Bozo can handle is the amount of toilet paper he uses to wipe his a$$.

I wouldn't be surprised if Valerie Jarrett isn't in charge of that, too.

Well, I could, but seeing as how I am a gentleman and have manners, I prefer not to.

However, observing the way you worded your question you obviously know the significance and already knew the answer.

On a related subject, “Tain’t” comes to mind.
