Anyone from Michigan familiar with this company?

“The head of the union local here says the investment companies that own Awreys are looking for a new buyer or partner. And unless they find one 150 union workers could be out of a job.”

Elections have consequences. And to you Awrey Union workers who voted for Obama for a second time; cry us all a river.

I'm originally from Michigan (My family is still there). You'll find their baked products in almost all Southeastern lower Michigan grocery stores. Been around since i was a kid.
As i mentioned in my previous post; I wonder how many of these Awrey Union workers voted for a Obama for a 2nd time. If they did, i have no pity for them. I hate to sound harsh, but they’re about to be bi*ch slapped by reality.

I live about eight miles from the bakery and outlet store, where I will occasionally stock up on some of their coffee cakes and danish pastries. Their Long John Coffee Cake is the best store bought coffee cake out there, IMHO! Entenmann’s can’t hold a candle to them.

They have an outlet bakery right down the street from me. They’ve been around for years, excellent bakery. Very sad news, but when I went in there right before Halloween to pick up doughnuts for my class party, they had none. They didn’t have the variety of items they normally have, so I wondered if something was in the offing.
