Local businesses announce closing, layoffs
The Luzerne County Citizen's Voice ^ | November 9, 2012 | Denise Allabaugh

The economy has taken a toll on two long-established family businesses in Luzerne County.

Bartikowsky Jewelers, a landmark business in downtown Wilkes-Barre for 125 years, will close its doors in January and is starting a "going out of business" sale on Tuesday, owners Lynn and Mac Ahmad said today.

Twenty-five people will lose their jobs and many of them have been employed by the business for decades, they said.

Penn Refrigeration in Hanover Township, which has been in business for 68 years, is laying off about 30 employees as of 3:30 p.m. today, co-owner Al Finarelli Jr. said today. He blamed the layoffs on the economy.

"All we can say is we had a major layoff and more information will follow," Finarelli said. "We're early in the process and we don't know what direction we're going."

The thing that gets me is that, due to the campaign, millions upon millions of dollars when straight into the msm coffers, allowing them to flourish while the real working people suffer.

And they’ll cover for 0 right up until the end.

More casualties of the presidential election. I am physically emotionally and mentally ill by the thought of the future damage to be done. Shame on our Country for what it has done to our children and grandchildren. I could cry.

The snowball is in motion, the snow wet & deep, and the grade is 47%.

The sheeple haven't a clue as to what is very soon to come ---- The Commie/GOPe NWO group will not be able to control the speed of global collapse; and still no one in DC talks about elimination of goobermint spending programs, agencies, etc., as a means to reduce the deficit.

They think they can manage the US decline - BS.

The arses can't even get gas stations powered in NE.

They are having an 'Obama Economy Sale', not a 'GOING OUT OF BUSINESS SALE'

Penn Refrigeration in Hanover Township, which has been in business for 68 years, is laying off about 30 employees as of 3:30 p.m. today, co-owner Al Finarelli Jr. said today. He blamed the layoffs on the economy.

hey Obama, are those businesses 'TO SMALL TO SUCCEED'?

How many more will close before 2014, when the TEA PARTY get SMART PEOPLE to run for House and Senate??
