Boehner: Obamacare is 'Law of the Land' 08 Nov 2012 By Todd Beamon

House Speaker John Boehner said on Thursday that Obamacare was “the law of the land” – apparently conceding that GOP efforts to repeal President Barack Obama’s healthcare law have ended.

Boehner, the nation’s top elected Republican, hinted in an interview with ABC News that Congress would not undertake efforts to repeal the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act.

“The election changes that,” Boehner responded to a question about whether Congress would undertake repeal efforts next year. “It's pretty clear that the president was re-elected. Obamacare is the law of the land.

“I think there are parts of the healthcare law that are going to be very difficult to implement,” he added. “And very expensive. And as the time when we're trying to find a way to create a path toward a balanced budget, everything has to be on the table.”

When asked whether GOP legislators would spend time working to repeal Obamacare, Boehner reiterated: “There certainly may be parts of it that we believe need to be changed. We may do that. No decisions at this point.”

But Kevin Smith, a Boehner spokesman, sought to clarify the speaker’s remarks later on Thursday.

"While Obamacare is the law of the land, it is costing us jobs and threatening our health care," Smith told NBC News. "Speaker Boehner and House Republicans remain committed to repealing the law, and he said in the interview it would be on the table."

The Supreme Court's controversial 5-4 ruling in June – in which Chief Justice John Roberts changed his position to side the with court’s liberal wing to uphold the law’s constitutionality – disarmed conservatives of one of their.. ....

Couldn’t agree with you more. I don’t think we can fully appreciate the devastation.

It’s simple. The House should NOT fund Obamacare. ALL funding starts in the House. Don’t pass it. So be it. Elections have consequences.

No, its not so simple!

There is no budget anymore! Funding just continues without definition.

We are consigned to a South American future brought to us by aliens invading our land both legally and illegally. And we did it with our eyes wide open by voting for politicians who catered to this interest. How true. “We have met the enemy and it is US”

It’s now axiomatic, no conservative can win without 40% of the Hispanic vote. Why? Because without FL, NV, CO, and OH you simply can’t win. CA, WA, OR is lost forever. As is NY, MA, and IL. Combine this with the Jewish vote (72% in FL) and its game over. The constitution has been permanently altered by a new voting demographic aided and abetted by liberal judges and the MSM.

Beginning of the end? More like the end of the end. The beginning came long ago. Cf. Woodrow Wilson.

The House sets the budget. Defund it, and it’s still on the books with no way to enforce it. If there’s another election, address it then.

How do we go about getting rid of Boehner and replacing him with someone who has a backbone?

Boehner can make all the deals he wants, it is the House Republican State Representatives that need to tell him to sit down and shut up - they ain't voting for his feakin' deals!

We were informed today that Missouri hospitals are in big trouble now, because Medicare payments are about to cease and our state has rejected Obamacare. It will be a huge financial loss for Missouri hospitals until we accept the defeat.

I think we should fight like wildcats and tell Obama, Boner and RINO companions to shove it.

Due to the Supreme Court decision that made much of the ObamaKKKare law to be a TAX LAW, it only takes a simple majority in the Senate to overturn the law ~ pending Presidential veto.

We can easily get it through the Senate by intimidating several weak willed and alcoholic Democrats ~ there are some.

Obama knows that.

Harry Reid knows he has to be on the Hill every minute the Senate is in session lest someone try it.

One day he'll make a mistake, take off early or something, and then we strike.
