Values, Not Demographics, Won the Election (He's serious!)
The New York Times ^ | November 7, 2012 | Joel Benenson

MUCH of the coverage of Tuesday’s results has focused on the strength of Barack Obama’s coalition — minorities, women and young voters. But that analysis misses the real point. The contours of the 2012 presidential race were shaped less by the country’s changing demographics than by the underlying attitudes and values of American voters, who are always far more complex than they appear to pollsters.

The president’s victory was a triumph of vision, not of demographics. He won because he articulated a set of values that define an America that the majority of us wish to live in: A nation that makes the investments we need to strengthen and grow the middle class. A nation with a fair tax system, and affordable and excellent education for all its citizens. A nation that believes that we’re most prosperous when we recognize that we are all in it together.

From the 2012 campaign’s earliest days, analysts focused on historic economic and political metrics to explain the steep uphill climb Mr. Obama faced in his re-election bid: no sitting president had been re-elected with unemployment higher than 7.2 percent; or the Michigan Consumer Sentiment Index below 78 percent; or the “right track” rating for the country as low as it was.

Such conventional indicators failed to capture the mind-set of the American people who always had a broader view of the nation’s economic situation and what had happened to their lives...

Many Obama voters, but not all, have “values”. However, as Clinton used to say, “What do you mean by ‘is’?

Marxist values for many of the white elite; welfare addiction/plantation security values for many blacks; immigration and Mexican values for some Hispanics, plus dreams of taking back the SW; white guilt values for Jewish liberals; I don’t need no education values for too many black youth, because Obama will pay for their gas and rent, etc.

The old American value, which was color-blind, was that of hard work, patriotism, respect for the family, a belief in a greater being than man, and an appreciation of American exceptionalism.

I found this to be especially intrisic in many of the minority groups - Blacks, Asians, refugees from Fascism and Communism, those fleeing poverty and religious persecution, and in many individuals with a dream to success.

Today that “dream” is the “dream” in Obama’s fraudulent autobiography “Dreams from my Father”. His father was a hardcore communist, Soviet-style, who believed all that Marxist bullshit about economics and the need for an all dominant state, as well as being a racist. If it weren’t for the British in Kenya (and they were sometimes very oppressive, sometimes very essential for the establishment of an organized state), the Moslems would be killing the Christians or animists in the kind religious jihad that you see in Mali, Libya, Syria, Nigeria, Iran, etc.

The “American dream” has now become the “American Nightmare” to those who know what to look for now, and will soon be apparent to those who voted for it.

The nightmare’s opening shot starts January 1st with the next tax raises, though for many, job layoffs have already begun.

When the coal-fired energy plants shut down, and you don’t have electricity during a bad winter, just say “I voted for Obama and against CO2”. That’s their problem. My energy is from a nuclear power plant, that is, until Obama and his environmental wackos find a way to shut it down.

George Romero, Stephen King, Wes Craven and other horror story writers couldn’t have made up this coming disaster. Only a Marxist megalomaniac, posing as a liberal, could, aided and abetted by his marxist mentors/aides, self-deluding liberals, a professionally corrupt news media, ignorant racist minorities, and white liberals who have no idea what is going on in the real world, or will be coming at them in the future.

Sorry for the doom and gloom but right now, “American values” were voted down the toilet.
