I thought of that and modified my tagline.

..And look who the OTHER candidate was!
I, too, wish the clergy would excommunicate Pelosi et al. However, the point of my post only was to rebut the idea that at least half of whom polls identify as âCatholicâ are so far from practicing that it as if I, a practicing Catholic, were to identify myself as Jewish because I eat kosher hot dog and once went to synagogue with a friend on Shabbat.
According to the statistical table most White Catholics vote like White Protestants. White Evangelicals balance out Black Protestants to bring up the percentage of Republican votes by Protestants. White Catholics don't vote as overwhelmingly Republican, so they don't offset Hispanic Catholics votes for the Democrats in the same way. But what I take away from the chart is that Protestant and Catholic voting isn't so different when race or color (or whatever you want to call it) isn't a factor.
I voted for every CONSERVATIVE on the ballot. Take that however you want.
Take that however YOU want.
So do 'hispanic' Catholics get taught a different social justice than the 'whites'? Now I have a flu bug and am not feeling peppy, but this hair splitting and excuse making just does not float. Joe Biden is a Catholic, regardless of what the lay people claim. How about that so called conservative democrat Bart Stupak, where does he fit in the excuse making. Realville is here and the numbers tell the story. You cannot honestly claim that 50% of Catholics that voted for Obama are 'hispanics' or part time church goers. And there is nothing 'hispanic' about Joe or Bart or Nancy, Roberts, I could go on and on naming non-hispanic elected liberal democrats. I also see the 'big boys' in the hierarchy of the Catholic religion supping and back slapping with the liberals more than I ever see them standing on any kind of 'religious' let alone faithful foundation. The alsmith dinner showed what fun it is to hang with the liberal crowd.
This election demonstrates by the numbers that American Catholics in majority are LIBERAL!
Akin didn't think it a minor issue - the MSM exploded over it and the GOP withdrew all financing of his campaign - he received a lot of pressure to withdraw. At any rate, both senate candidates lost and we really could have used those seats. In WI, where the other clown was from (Donnally I think his name is), the state assembly and senate was returned to all GOP majorities giving Walker free reign again.
Single women are afraid Roe will be overturned by a GOP POTUS via SCOTUS appointments -- it should be moved to the states like many other things to shrink the fed govt.
Overturning Roe v. Wade would help accomplish just that. Feds say it's legal, period. States declaring it illegal wouldn't have a leg to stand on in follow-on challenges.
These all should be moved to the states. Look at CA and the northeast where Obama had big majorities — they are almost insolvent from gimmee programs and high taxes. Federal spending has to shrink, too or it will also be insolvent and money not worth anything.
It’s funny, here in Kansas, there is a huge push against abortion - to regulate it and eventually ban it. I know young women in my community feel that having children is the joy of their lives. I’d be shocked if any would choose to abort - we have wonderful foster care programs and truly, every life is valued. There are no homeless — everyone has friends to stay with. I can’t imagine anyone here selfish enough to have an abortion in my community.
