I find it hard to mix a discussion of that with a secular discussion of political winds.

I do, too, but review 2 Chronicles 17-20 (thereabouts). It's fascinating reading. Both Samuel, Kings, Chronicles, and the prophets remind us that a religious/secular discussion might be long overdue.

To they extent that Sandy might have been a gift to Obama, couldn't we say the same about Benghazi and Romney.

Imagine it as a test for each man and then measure their response to the gift dropped in their laps.

Romney got a bigtime fumble in the red zone and didn't try to convert even though he was down points in the 4th quarter. He took the knee on 4 snaps.

Sandy was a shift in the wind for your team in the 4th quarter. Obama ran his kicker onto the field for fieldgoals time and again so long as the wind was at their backs.

Religion, Politics, and Football. What could be more American? :>)

Interesting analogy. Yes, Romney took a knee on Benghazi, Ryan took a knee on what economy Obama “inherited,” and Romney took a knee on bin Laden.

All told by consultants that they must do so not to “upset” the precious moderates. Thus, truth died on each issue. In fact, the entire spirit of the Age is the Death of Truth. Axelrod is the living embodiment of the opposite of the truth.
