*** PING ***
Ring me up when we decide to really fight.
***PING***
Remember that Nixon caved after officials from his own party came to him and told him that it’s over. I don’t see any democrats having the spine to do that in the event that Benghazigate hits hard.
It’s over, Johnny. IT’S OVER!
"We shall fight on the beaches, we shall fight on the landing grounds, we shall fight in the fields and in the streets, we shall fight in the hills; we shall never surrender."
Now there's a good idea. Let's put Biden in charge of the country...
The same Perry who gave into the feds on Texas CCW's: you cannot get a CCW in TX if you have defaulted on a student load because the feds threatened to stop sending highway dollars to TX. (That's the ONLY reason TX seems to be doing well economically; the only employment is in highway construction. I recently drove from D/FW to Bonham TX, about 110 miles and 90 miles of it is under construction).
Perry is as spineless and just as much a statist as M.R..
Did you ever wonder what chance a snowball would have in hell?
That’s about what chance we have of getting Obama up for Impeachment.
He is the hero of America today, everyone that voted for him saw what he did in Benghazi and voted for him anyway.
They could care less about 4 dead Americans, just as they care less about 1200 American soldiers dead in Afghhanistan.
All America cares about is freedom to abort their kids, Cheap Mexican labor, and entitlements.
Those getting the checks don’t care how much it costs to buy fuel to get to work, They arent working.
They don’t care what it costs to heat their home, the Government does that for them. They don’t care about health insurance costs, they arent paying it.
Why ???
And what then? President Biden?
It's been my contention for years that Obama picked Biden as insurance against removal from office. He probably learned that trick from Clinton (Algore), who must've learned it from Nixon (Agnew).
Respectfully disagree. It’s save yourself time. If you want to start a “Galt’s Gulch” thing, fine, but I don’t think we can dig ourselves out from under the weight of sheer ignorance in this country.
A lot of this mirrors my own thoughts - particularly the part about buying guns.
Every year, I buy myself one “nice” thing for Christmas. Now that Obamao has won, I think it’s going to have to be a gun. I can’t be the first FReeper to think about buying his first gun, so I’ll have to look through some old threads on here to see what suggestions were made to other first-time purchasers.
Yes, we have lost. We have lost our valiant fight to save our beloved Republic. For 236 years we have had the privelege of living in the freest country on earth. Last night proved that we are now a socialist country with the likes of Greece and Spain. But let us never forget that we fought for what is right. The other side fought for selfishness, bailouts, perverse relationships, baby killing, and gov’t robbery of the wealthy to pay for the nonproductive. We fought for Orthodoxy, free enterprise, freedom, and love of our formerly beloved country. Yes, we probably will never again be able to elect a Roanald Reagan. We have our families and we have eachother. and we were right. Fellow Freepers understand liberty and freedom. Let us never forget our comrades and support eachother. I’m sorry but I never intend to watch Fox News and become addicted to their pablum again. Take Coulter, Morris, Hannity, and the bunch of them and let them spin their tales of a conservative resurgence. I live In Georgia and I am so proud my state stood for what is right!
Like our lives depend on it. Because they do.
Buying land sounds good on first glance but it will be taxed and regulated out of your hands. The beast is going to be fed and it will take what it wants from wherever it can get it.
Local governments are being forced to redirect tax money from essential expenditures and services to mandated ones. To maintain those essential services they will raise all forms of taxes. This is happening, one large city I know of (population ca 250,000) is looking for someone to take over their large airport (feeder airline service to hubs 80 and 200 miles away) or close it. They can’t afford it any longer.
This decay is systematic, enduring and fatal. My company and my employees could not continue if half worked and generated revenue while the other half didn’t. This country can’t either.
None of us can hide or escape this coming failure of our economic system unless we are willing and able to simply to a subsistence existence. It seems like nobody or not enough understand this brutal reality.
But alas they won't they are the stupid party.
