I walked the precincts this weekend for Romney, coming 300 miles from CA. What I saw and heard:
Romney signs far outnumbered 0bama signs, probably 25 to 2.
Those I talked to voted or will vote for Romney. One person said they are voting for 0bama.
Some would not open the door until they saw the RR teeshirt.
A lot of Mitt ads on the radio.
Maybe we can get NV after all.
God bless you for your efforts. Some of us just talk, you walked the walk! Thanks!
I think Nevada will go Romney, I hope so.
thank you
Thank you so much for coming to Nevada to help us! God bless you!
That would be a delicious F-You to Harry Reid!
Thanks. It would be sweet if Romney carries NV- this would be a thunderclap and a kick in the ass for Sen. Reid as well.
I live here in Henderson (Green Valley) and work in Las Vegas. It's all one big valley: North Las Vegas, Las Vegas, Henderson, with outlying areas after that.
Romney winning Nevada is not out of the question, and yes, I've seen a lot more Romney signs out, but we're counterbalanced by areas in the northern/western end of the valley. Outnumbered, very likely, as Harry Reid has been able to show in election after election. :(
It's all a matter of TURNOUT. I think Romney's people are more enthusiastic. Obama's are a bit dejected (heh, heh) because he hasn't been able to deliver on the free stuff, and enough of the Obamazombies have just enough brain matter left to realize it, though they won't openly admit it in most cases.
So, it's a matter of brute turnout.
Romney can win Nevada, but it's not likely. Last I looked, he was 2% behind, if you believe the polls.
Let's hope the zombies are too lazy to turn out on Tuesday.
As a Nevadan these past 37 years (nope, not a "native" by pure definition of the word), I've seen Nevada increasingly become purple, and is now starting to become blue. Just like the People's Republik of Kalifornia, our giant neighbor to the west. We're a satellite in their orbit.
Even our legislature is getting goofy on us--they want to tax and spend, but there are still enough "Nevadans" who are stopping them, to an ever lessening degree. We have 50 types of license plates now, so we cater to every interest group. Medical marijuana. All the "two strikes" felons trying to avoid that "third strike" are moving HERE to avoid life imprisonment. They make fine, upstanding citizens here.
Yes, folks, the blue infection from Kalifornia is spreading. And we don't like it one bit.
Neither does Oregon. Nor Arizona. Nor Colorado. Nor Washington.
Thanks for your work. you are putting your money where your mouth is - and actually doing something to rid this country of the Obama cancer.
On election day what matters is turnout. Make it a point to find one person and make sure they make it to the polls. If you are sure they were going to vote, then find someone else.
You are as many votes as you can get people to go to the polls and vote.
One person drove from Utah just to walk the precincts on Sunday.
Another flew from LA to make phone calls for the past TWO weeks.
I was not alone.
Carrying NV will be very tough, Reid and the Unions own it petty well.
True. ACORN morphed into SEIU
and SEIU is probably counting the votes in some states
Actually, Reid and the unions hold sway over Las Vegas. The rest of Nevada, not so much.
Hero congratulations to you!
I saw no less than (approx) 75 RR signs and ONE (that's correct, 1) Ditherer/Community Agitator in Chief sign.
In fact in the past month I've been watching for signs displayed in and around Pinellas County, and even in some of the "minority" areas, the number of Romney/Ryan signs, outnumber Dear Leader/Plugs Biden signs 10 to 1.
It is great to hear people getting out and volunteering. I worked the phones for the Romney Campaign in New Hampshire, made over 1000 calls, 95% for Romney, and that was just me. We had volunteers all over the state doing the same.
