I suppose if the election would have been close (72) would have voted for Nixon. It was evident however, that there was something not right about Nixon. Got the same feeling from Gore (2000), Kerry (2004), and Obama.

Well, I'm not ashamed to admit it. I was a nineteen year old, skull full of mush at the time, and it was my very first vote of any kind (they'd just lowered the voting age).

Besides, my whole family (excluding my grandparents) were Democrats. It was all I knew.
