I am in eastern Iowa...there a lot fewer signs for Obama than in 08. There are a lot of Catholic and Lutheran churches here too. Their members are not happy that the government is trying to make them pay for on-demand abortions and birth control. Many people in Iowa are fed up. Many will vote in this election just to oust one of the judges who brought us gay marriage.
The newspapers here have endorsed Romney. That can’t be understated and I still have a hard time believing it.
I took my kids to a Romney rally in the middle of a sod farm a week ago. We had to walk about a half mile just to get the event. It was hard to get there, too. I think the official count was like 1500, but I think it was more. Everyone there was a little amazed that there were so many people at a sod farm in the middle of the afternoon with only a day’s notice!
I think Iowa will got to Romney.
I hope it is a bigger day for Romney than I predicted.
