Last night, Twitchy brought you updates from the #RomneyOhioMegaRally that drew 30,000 supporters to West Chester, Ohio to see the GOP candidate lose ugly and close angry in front of a low energy audience (according to Obama campaign staffers and an AP reporter, that is). Tonight, Romney appeared before a crowd of 18,000 in Englewood, Colo.
For what its worth, Obama for Americas Lis Smith rated Romney as downcast and well short of confident.
.@MittRomney seems almost downcast at his CO event. Big contrast w/@BarackObama's positive energy in Milwaukee.

.@MittRomney keeps mentioning "confidence" in his CO speech, but he seems well short of confident today

If so, Romney seemed to hide it well for the photos, at least. Maybe this is why he looks downcast.
Mitt Romney's eyes appear to tear up as he looks out at crowd in Englewood, Colo.

And yes, it was quite a crowd.
Great panorama shot of crowd. Just amazing how big and excited this Colorado crowd is. #RomneyRyan2012 http://t.co/fmi8Iipl

On Sunday, Romney will attend rallies in Iowa, Pennsylvania and Ohio.
Momentum clearly in Mitts favor. Love it.
Just got back from this rally with Mitt & Ann about 30 minutes ago.
It was great!
Very enthusiastic crowd.
Mitt’s voice is just hanging on!
You can tell he knows he’s going to win, but he’s careful to emphasize, “We still need to Get Out The Vote!”
Looks to me like a man who knows he will soon be President of the United States and is getting a little emotional about the fact that his long journey and for his family including is deceased father a multi-decade journey is coming true.
I’m sure his father’s memory has crossed his mind as he approaches this triumph.
It isn’t a triumph for one man though. We are taking our country back!!!!!
Ohio, 11/03/2012, Stevie Wonder holds FREE show for obama, 180, and many wandered in because they heard live music.
Colorado, 11/03/2012. Romney 18,000; Cleveland, Ohio, obama, less than 4,000, in 2008, in Cleveland obama drew 80,000.
And the msm wants to push the meme that obama is winning. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
Amen to that!
You're gonna need it.
I’ll just bet that Mitt and company are exhausted. They’ve done a fabulous job throughout this campaign. I’m so proud of them. I wish I could have gone to a rally but I donated.
Yep - I never got so many foloow-on emnails after donating to a campaign. It was almost tiresome, but they were all so polite and upbeat and from a number of family members, that I just grinned and deleted them. But, it did sway me to make one more donation yesterday and it will be money well spent come Tuesday. Many thought his campaign was being mismanaged, but it looks like he had all the right people in the right places and took ownership/leadership in a lot of ways.
I would like to see a thread here on FR about the robocalls. I received one yesterday (Saturday) morning at 8:45. It happens that I'm an early riser and so had been up for hours at that point, but lots of folks are still sleeping at that time. The call was from a traditional marriage PAC. It occurred to me then that these idiotic robocalls might be doing more harm than good.
I only got one phone call from the Romney campaign and it was a very polite human voice on the other end.
I don’t think the Robocalls help, as they are way over done.
It really undercuts the effectiveness of our Get Out The Vote calls, as those folks are “sick of all the political calls”.
And GOTV shouldn’t be lumped in with them, but they are.
I can’t see how robocalls are effective. If I don’t recognize the calling number, the caller can leave a voicemail. If it is a junk call, I can delete it immediately.
