"Republican" governor tilts election in Obama's favor

“(Obama) has been incredibly supportive and helpful to our state and not once did he bring up the election,” said an adoring Chris Christie of the president’s clearly selfless tour of New Jersey after hurricane Sandy. (1) Why of COURSE governor, politics couldn’t have been further from the mind of an individual who has campaigned literally each and every day since his inauguration in January of 2009.

Prior to Governor Christie’s slobbering display of man-live before an obviously delighted battalion of media cameras, Rasmussen had Mitt Romney leading in the national tracking poll. Now, however, it is...

I really don’t think Christie has nearly that much national influence. At this critical time in New Jersey, he may have extra influence in his state - which was voting Obama anyway.

FReepers cany deny it, but the numbers have shifted a lot since Crispy Creme’s endorsement of the Great Pretender. That fat douchebag should be blacklisted from the GOP.

How would you like to be a New Jersey Repuplican today? My sympathies.

Disagree.

While I think much of America does not know Christie, it allowed the MSM to play the “former Obama hater now loves him” card that the low-information swing voters eat up. In a super close election, that sort of thing can be the difference maker.

IF Romney loses, then I assign most of the blame for that loss to Chris Christie. He has now moved into a commanding lead in my personal Most Hated Republican poll blowing past John Roberts.

Are you saying Republican and Independant voters are so shallow that because Chris complimented Obama is enough to change their mind? I really don't think so.

Christie could redeem himself only by getting in front 15 microphones today or tomorrow and stating clearly, in his inimitable angry Jersey-Guy manner, how FEMA is dropping the ball and the Federal red tape is killing his state.

Understand the situation and have no doubt that he loves NJ, but consider Christie’s self-centered speech at the convention. It was more about him than Romney. And this is not an isolated instance of such behavior. Just saying...

The good thing about this is that Christie has permanently killed his chances of ever becoming the GOP nominee.

This is just ‘hail Mary’ BS from the pollsters; desperately trying to stay relevant right up to the very last possible minute...

He didn’t compliment him, he got down on his knees and licked his boots in front of the country. A fifteen minute excursion that was painful to watch and plain embarrassing. Christie deserves all the scorn he is receiving. As far as shallow voters, never underestimate the power of human stupidity.

Was Christie wearing a blue dress when he met with Obama? I haven’t seen any video...

Christie was a willing prop in a photo op that allowed Obama to construct a momentary facade of bipartisanship.

This is complete nonsense. What is Christie supposed to do, tell Obama not to come? Don’t shake his hand? If Christie did anything that remotely resembling a political ploy it would have hurt Romney much more than what he did.

Afterall, he is the Governor of his state first and foremost and has to act on the behalf of his citizens, the residents of New Jersey.

This article and others like it are complete hogwash.

Serious question, what would you have liked for CC to do that the MSM wouldn’t equally turned the coin the other way and said “see, the GOP only cares about power and winning an election and won’t even help the people in dire need in their state.”

CC is in a no win situation here and he did what he is supposed to do, represent the people of New Jersey. This is a no brainer on all levels.

He will get his gratitude from O when he is up for reelection and Obama and the Dem challenger tells NJ what a poor job Christie did during the aftermath of Sandy. I would not be surprised if Christie pulls a “party switch”. I do not see how republicans can support him after his Obama lovin campaign stunt.

He could have done that without wet sloppy kisses all over Obama.

100% wrong.

He should have been respectful and expressed gratitude. He did not have to fellate him in front of the country, while at the same time being unable to think of anything positive to say about Romney at all.

He put the good of his political career ahead of the good of his country, and I hope he never wins another election as long as he lives.

True conservatives realized the “Fat Man” was just a typical RINO and not to be trusted a long time ago. Me thinks he was upset because he didn’t get the VP nomination or he believes Bam will win on tuesday and is hedging his bets for 2016. He’s a d——ebag!!!
