Michigan Poll: Obama and Romney In Dead Heat Oct 25, 2012
Foster McCollum White Baydoun (FMW)B, a national public opinion polling and voter analytics consulting firm based in Michigan and representing the combined resources of Foster McCollum White & Associates (Troy Michigan) and Baydoun Consulting (Dearborn Michigan) conducted a telephone-automated polling random survey of Michigan registered and most likely November 2012 General election voters for Fox 2 News Detroit to determine their voting and issue preferences for the presidential election.
An initial qualifying statement was read to respondents asking them to participate only if they were very likely to vote in the November General Election.
Thirty five thousand (35,000) calls were placed, and 1,122 respondents fully participated in the survey. The margin of error for this total polling sample is 2.93% with a confidence level of 95%.

Romney has not spent much time here. He must feel like his internal polling doesn’t give him a chance I guess.
“Thirty five thousand (35,000) calls were placed, and 1,122 respondents fully participated in the survey.”
Is this a typical response rate for an opinion poll???
If PA is galloping for Romney, MI might well be going the same way.
Then we will give him a pleasant surprise on Tuesday.
I suspect parts of Michigan get a lot of “overlap” coverage of campaign events in Ohio. Having said that, I’m not sure if there is any pressing hot-button issue that would tip MI over to the Romney column (like the coal and Marcellus Shale gas issues in Pennsylvania and Ohio).
It’s on the light side of a response rate. Gallup has said that they get around a 9% response rate, but 3% seems reasonable depending on the conditions.
Romney doesn’t have to fight the “letting Detroit go bankrupt” meme in PA. He chose wisely in investing his time and resources there.

My whole family lives in Michigan, we are all voting for Romney, NONE of us answer political calls...we’re good at call screening.
I keep the phone on a lower shelf by my recliner. When an annoying call comes in I just hit the talk button and let it sit. It’s kinda fun.
What possible future Federal job can now be entrusted to Benghazi-Coward Obama? Well, possibly Official Democrat Lie Czar.
The President is running an ad in Detroit market now that takes Romney out of Context that says “...That’s right I said Detroit should go bankrupt...”
I’ve seen it three times tonight.
Obama will get 120% of the Detroit vote (counting voter fraud) and has that locked up. Same with cities like Pontiac and Flint. The voters outside of there, well, I am not sure if Obama's ads will have much impact on them.
Michigan more than likely will go for Obama but, well, you never know. I've seen 10 times more Romney signs than Barack and that is a complete reversal from 4 years ago.
Hey, I can hope, right?
Which is kind of funny, considering GM and Chrysler both went bankrupt under Obama.
I am hearing good things about Reagan Democrats in Macomb also.
I agree. My brother lives in Sterling Heights and he mentioned that he sees far more Romney signs out that way. My wife and I drove from our area (NW Oakland County) to Roseville last weekend, for a visit, and saw the same thing.
It would be great if Michigan went for Romney!
