Same here in Missouri, strong messages about the outcome of the coming election an its impact upon the church, pushed hard by the Archbishop.
Each exit from the parking lot has members holding big signs stating “Vote Your Catholic Beliefs”.
The church is taking this election very seriously and I expect the message to get stronger and stronger each week as the election draws near.
The homilies are drawing applause from the members of the church. I feel there will be a strong clear message sent by Mass attending Catholics on election day.

So I was supriised and pleased that one of our deacons gave 2 homilies in 2 weeks (covering at least 5 Masses) clearly and specifically referencing contraception, divorce/remarriage and gay marriage as being opposed to Divine and Natural Law, and warning about attacks on our religious liberty.
I sent him fan-emails, asked if he would send me the text, and then sent the texts out to my whole Catholic e-mail list.
Things do seem to be turning around. Fast enough? Strong enough? We shall see.
