anti-Muslim movie America's fault?

Muslims are imposing their own authoritarian approach to politics when they blame America for this anti-Muslim movie that led to rioting and the murder of American Ambassador Christopher Stevens in Benghazi on September 11, 2012. The Muslim Brotherhood President of Egypt echoed that point of view when he spoke with President Obama and asked him to apologize for the movie on behalf of the United States.

The simple fact is that our constitutional system is based on the principle of free speech, a conservative principle that is natural to human society. The Islamic nations hold the authoritarian and regressive position that the state controls the media. This principle is identical to that held by Communist and Fascist nations which adhere to the fundamental principle of Socialism as defined by the principle "Public ownership of the means of communication."

Many Muslim's simply don't understand that the people responsible for making the offensive movie, which was condemned by most Americans at any rate, were solely responsible for its contents and therefore they bear sole responsibility for its clearly offensive nature.

It would be one thing if the movie had benefited from a government grant, as did the "artist" putting out a disgusting image of the Crucifix in a jar of urine as he recieved a grant from the government. This was not the case with this movie and our government seemed to have learned a lesson from the controversy that swirled around that event. Indeed, one lesson here is the danger inherent when the government in any way supports such controversies.

It is not really known whether the offensive movie was the cause of the inexplicable and rage on the part of rioters who murdered our Ambassador and three other American citizens. It is, however, safe to say that it was a contributing factor. If we react by restricting free speech in this country than we would have gone down to their level by selling out our ideals.

It is known that there were no protestors in Benghazi though.

No demonstration before attack on US Consulate, source says

I defend Obama’s right to have had that movie made in the White House basement. It shows the same attention to detail and excellence as his birth certificate.
