lfonso Vazquez barely remembers life in Guanajuato, his childhood home north of Mexico City. Some snippets remain: His mother crying a lot, days when a plate of tortillas fed him and his five siblings, other days when the plate was empty. His mom made weekly phone calls to his father, who sent money every week to their village from wherever he was.
But there's a memory that's proved "one of the hardest things to forget to this day," says Vazquez. At age 4, Vazquez was carried by his mother through the Sonoran Desert, a 120,000-square-mile stretch of sweltering land that traverses the tough line between northwest Mexico and the southwest United States. "I remember a lot of crying. My dad was pushing my mom to continue north. I remember him saying, 'We're heading to El Norte.'" Their journey to the border was over 1,200 miles, and from there to Phoenix, the capital of Arizona, another 200.
From there, Vazquez's path to a stable life in El Norte has been delayed by many roadblocks. When he was 8 years old, he and his dad spotted people boarding a bus parked outside a gas station near their home in north-central Phoenix. His dad explained they were ice—Immigration Customs and Enforcement—buses. At that moment, Vazquez realized he'd need to hide. "To not be able to do normal things, to travel, but not be able to go back to Mexico and visit grandparents—it was hard."

"Welcome the stranger" is from Deuteronomy, and appears in several places. Rabbinical scholars tell us that it is NOT a "stranger" but in Hebrew, a "Ger" or convert and adherent to Torah law. To become part of the Jewish covenant, one must convert AND obey all the commandments. This CANNOT in any way be compare to an illegal alien, who does not enter with permission, breaks many laws, including stealing (ID theft, tax fraud, SS fraud, welfare fraud), and does not seek to become a citizen.

“I called the bride over and asked her if she had asked anyone to hold her gift box,” Botsch told The Post. “She had no clue what I was talking about.“I said, ‘Joanna, there’s a gentleman who has your gift box.’ ”
The infuriated bride, Joanna Williamson, 51, and her new husband, Larry, 53, immediately jumped into action, marshaling a group of tuxedoed guests to help them pursue the suspect.
Omar Santiago, 18, of Irvington, NJ, darted into a bathroom to try to escape, allegedly stuffing the envelopes into his pants as the pursuing crowd closed in on him, witnesses said. “The pursuers backed the thief into the bathroom where they saw the empty [money] box in the stall. Somehow, he ran past them into the woods near the tennis courts, and they caught him there..... he actually had all the envelopes down his pants.
Suffolk County cops slapped handcuffs on Santiago, who was bloodied during the takedown. All of the gift checks and cash were recovered,.... thousands of dollars worth of cash and checks in the box and that the hardworking ciuole Islip desperately needed.
Santiago was first scheduled for arraignment yesterday, but his appearance was postponed because of injuries suffered during the melee. “He had a big cut on his ear,” Botsch said.
A friend of the couple said the fact that one of their relatives brought Santiago to their special day really took the cake. “The guy was a stranger to everyone,” she said.

REFERENCE March 8, 2012 KENNER, La. -- Kenner police arrested illegal Marvin Baca who sold false W-2 forms to another illegal immigrant for $1,500. Baca sold fraudulent W-2 forms for $1,500 to other Hispanics here illegally.
Police said that on one of the forged W-2 forms had a SS no of a person living in Virginia. Police said illegal Hispanics purchase fictitious W-2 forms and file false tax returns with the government to receive EITC refunds. Baca was charged with one count of ID theft and two counts of forgery.
