2008:
I can make a firm pledge. Under my plan, no family making less than $250,000 a year will see any form of tax increase. Not your income tax, not your payroll tax, not your capital gains taxes, not any of your taxes. --Candidate Barack Obama, Sept. 12, 2008
No one making less than $250,000 under Barack Obamas plan will see one single penny of their tax raised whether its their capital gains tax, their income tax, investment tax, any tax. --Joe Biden, Vice-Presidential debate in St. Louis, Oct. 3, 2008
2012:
So if your family makes under $250,000 -- which, by the way, 98 percent of Americans do -- 97 percent of small businesses do, you will not see your income taxes increase by a single dime next year. Thats my plan. -- August 8, 2012 Grand Junction, CO
Now, if your family makes under $250,000 -- which, by the way, is 98 percent of American families and 97 percent of small businesses -- under my plan, your income taxes would not increase a single dime next year. (Applause.) Thats my plan. -- August 9, 2012 in Colorado Springs, CO
So if your family makes $250,000 a year or less -- like 98 percent of Americans -- you wont see your income taxes increase by a single dime next year under my plan. Not one dime. -- August 13, 2012 in Boone, IA

Obama lied on his “READ MY LIPS NO NEW TAXES” pledge. The media doesn’t care.
You don’t even need to keep track of his statement all you need is to mention his Healthcare plan. See the individual mandate is a tax... His lawyers argued it was a tax in front of SCOTUS and SCOTUS ruled its a tax therefore Obama lied and raised taxes... case closed.
“Obi wa Nobama” hah.
I hadn’t seen the $200,000 figure. Was it just a trial balloon he abandoned, or did he use it more?
And now the president is going after the 2% instead of the 1% so we’re only a short time away from the dreaded 49% in his speeches.
And what is the surprise here?
The $200,000 figure was one he used after getting broad coverage for the $250.000 number. Biden was the first to introduce the $200,000 figure, then Obama started using it. This was probably in the last 2 - 3 weeks before the '08 election. By that time, the DBM was deeply in the tank for zero they weren't going to point out the discrepancy.
