Wow! I fully expect a Romney-Ryan blowout in November, and I fully expect a slew of Democrat defections once it becomes obvious. But Doug Wilder? In August? No wonder the Obama campaign is in such a panic...
Wilder has had a centrist streak, so it isn’t a big shock. He’s backed Republicans before . That said , the first black Democratic governor in the US going for Romney would be a huge coup.

Did see part of the video. This is big. Wilder’s defection to Romney is an earthquake...IF the word gets around. He also spoke of the massive unemployment numbers in the black community.

Huge! Wilder is still very well respected in Virginia and could have won a second term as Governor if it was allowed. He has lost some edge recently due to his time as Mayor of Richmond and the failure of the Slavery Museum that he was in charge of.
