With Kirsten Gillibrands vote, millions of seniors are now in danger of losing their Medicare Advantage coverage as part of the $529 billion in Medicare cuts contained in the Democrats bill, said National Republican Senatorial Committee (NRSC) spokesman Brian Walsh. Clearly, President Obama, Kirsten Gillibrand, and the Democrats in Washington didnt mean it when they promised Americans if you like your current plan, you can keep it.
Senator Gillibrand has betrayed New York seniors, first by voting for a bill with more than $500 billion in Medicare cuts, then by rejecting the opportunity to protect New Yorkers from losing their health coverage, Walsh continued. Gillibrands vote today will affect seniors in a real way from chronic care management to eyeglasses and hearing aids. Were confident that New Yorkers will hold Kirsten Gillibrand accountable this November for putting her party leaders in Washington before her constituents once again.'

Write a letter to the editor, whether you live in NY, or anywhere in the country, and state how it is the Dems who gutted their Medicare. Seniors read editor's letters.
she’s a rising star in the very competitive “most dangerous woman in politics” field.
Medicare Advantage was supposed to end this year (pre-election) per Obamacare, but Obama got a one-year extension to make MA available this fall (October) for next year.
Of course, based on Obamacare, unless Congress does otherwise, MA will end in 2013, so no 2014 coverage.
“shes a rising star in the very competitive most dangerous woman in politics field.”
Yes, Kirsten Gillibrand is, but we CAN vote her out, as long as NY Republicans don’t think her reelection is inevitable.
Gillibrand’s opponent, WENDY LONG, is an outstanding and formidable candidate, and said to be a terrific debater, and here’s more from Doug Hoffman:
“Statement from Doug Hoffman Endorsing Wendy Long for United States Senate
I am proud and honored to endorse Wendy Long for the U.S. Senate. Wendy Longs background as high ranking staffer for two conservative Republican Senators, and the fact that she served as a law clerk to Judge Ralph K. Winter of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit in New York, and then to Justice Clarence Thomas of the Supreme Court of the United States, makes her uniquely qualified to represent New York State in the U.S. Senate.
“Wendy is a constitutional scholar who will be a vocal advocate for 2nd Amendment rights, a staunch supporter of the sanctity of human life and a fiscal conservative who will fight to lower taxes and reduce wasteful government spending so we can put a stop to deficit spending and rein in the ever growing national debt.
“Wendy also understands that big government simply cant create good paying jobs; only the private sector can do that. Thats why she will fight for tax cuts so that small businesses across New York and the nation have the capital they need to grow, expand and create jobs. snip”

Is only MA supposed to get the one-year extention for Medicare Advantage?
The enrollment period for 2013 starts Oct. 15, there will be bad news for many seniors; higher prices with reduced extras.
“The enrollment period for 2013 starts Oct. 15, there will be bad news for many seniors; higher prices with reduced extras.”
Thanx.
It makes sense when the Dems voted to gut Medicare MORE THAN $one-half TRILLION with Obamacare.
We need to get this out to as many seniors as possible.
They'll know it; in 2014 there will be no Medicare Advantage for free.
“..”
Let’s make sure seniors know it before Nov. 2012.
Sorry neglected to put in your quote:
“They’ll know it; in 2014 ..”
Thank you.
