This is a follow up on my post on Virgil Goode and the impact he will have on the presidential race in Virginia.
Here are a breakdown of the electoral numbers from the 2004 and 2008 presidential elections and the PPP poll on Virginia released a few days ago:
-----------------2004----------2008--------2012
---------BUSH--KERRY-----MCCAIN--OBAMA--ROMNEY--OBAMA
Overall----54---46---------46-----52-----42------50
WHITES-----68---32---------60-----39-----51------41
WHITE% OF ELECT--72%----------70%
LIBERALS------17%-------------21%
MODERATES-----45%-------------46%
CONSERVATIVES-38%-------------33%
So folks we see Bush 43 blowing Kerry out of the water among WHITE voters to the tune of 36% and McCain besting Obama by over 20 points albeit in a losing effort. But in a supposedly a much better political climate for Mitt Romney against supposedly an unpopular president Romney can only best Obama by a measly 10 points among white voters. Is there any wonder Romney is going to lose Virginia?
And then what compounds the problem is the Virgil Goode candidacy. Here is the allotment of the white vote in Virginia if he is included in the mix in the PPP poll:
Obama------------40%
Romney-----------44%
Goode------------10%
Gee folks, you think Goode must pose a huge problem for the Mittster, Friends I know many of you are not political junkies like I am but if you can take away one thing from this exercise it is that Mitt Romney will not win any state of the union, let alone an extremely important battleground state like Virginia when only 44% of white voters say they will vote for him on election day. It's time to take your heads out of the sand and realize that Romney is an extremely flawed candidate despite being only behind 2 points to Obama in the national polls.
Too bad Goode couldn’t take 270 electorals from both liberals in the race Obama and Romney. If this guy would get some attention, he could win.
Seems like someone else is worried about Virginia, spending the past two days there.
Virg is set to be the Ross Perot of 2012.
He will unwittingly send Obama back to D.C. for 4 more years and the end of this once great nation.
The Romney haters here won’t be available for eating crow, because this site will be one of the early casualties of the Obama monarchy.
Blah, blah, blah...
But look on the bright side...for the rest of his life "Virgil" will bask in the glory of having "made a difference" without getting so much as a single Electoral vote.
As will the pure as the driven snow "conservatives" here.

BTW, I'm more tech than sales, but how many sales do you think you're going to make to conservatives with that sales pitch?

Geez of course Mitt is a extremely flawed candidate. I think most ABO folks have long ago said that.
Now about Obama, he will surely do everything in his power to destroy this country.
Holder....
Black panthers.
Supreme court leftists....
yippee!....
You guys who make a big show about not voting for Romney think we care?
Romney is going to win but you can feel good that you didn't sully your hands in voting for him.
Why all the fuss about a life long democrat?
Yes last I looked we still physically occupy space in the good old USA.
Now about the country being destroyed...
I’ve heard the same thing for the last 3 elections. We’re still here.
Shhhhh. You don’t want to take away from the liberal Republican their continuous scare tactic to slowly take our country to the left.
Virg is set to be the Ross Perot of 2012.

WOW ya think Goode can get 19% of the vote ???
Goode 19
Obama 43
Willard 36
Like in 1992 ???
you know you can't even protest near him anymore...its ilegal...
congrats to the anti Romniacs and God help you in this folly...
“The Romney haters here wont be available for eating crow, because this site will be one of the early casualties of the Obama monarchy.”
Sorry, but your angst needs to be directed at the GOPe and the ‘conservative’ talking heads who make a habit of carrying their water.
Mainly the fake conservatives.
Good luck with that Romney win. After he actually IS the official candidate (he's not yet), the media is going to dump on him.
