".....She said I got a surprise for you
A child is coming
A child is coming
A child is coming to you
What are we gonna do when Uncle Samuel comes around Askin' for the young one's name
And lookin' for the print of his hand for the files in their numbers game
I don't want his chances for freedom to ever be that slim
Let's not tell 'em about him "
Well.
A few things.
Number one, I am ashamed as an American Vet that you have to feel the way you do. I have failed somewhere along the line for sure.
Number two, you are correct, you MUST trust in our Lord. If this be the end times so be it. We will go together. (In Jesus name)
And number three; Dont give up just yet. I still have faith in the red white and blue. Sigh. We cannot allow you to feel afraid. Something must be done.
Be well kid. It is time for the old wolves
God bless you
One man with courage makes a majority.

These are scary times. I find it helps me to remember the songs of praise and of thanks - most of which are taken from scripture. Also to remember that there have been frightening times before, and God has turned mourning into dancing, has given beauty for ashes, and has given hope to the hopeless. When fears are overwhelming, I silently recite the Lord’s Prayer. As many times as it takes to calm my thoughts and fears.
John 16:33
Philippians 4:6-7
6 Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; 7 and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
Keep in the Word and your eyes on God. I would suggest that you watch “Amazing Grace” to see an example of how God can work within a corrupt political system to bring about His will using one faithful man.
I will fear no evil, I know (trust that) God is with me.
Life is full of struggles....always has been. Check our Roman 5.
God is good all the time.
The key is here to latch on to the secret that Scripture says even angels long to look into; and that is, Christ in you, the hope of glory.
The times are scary; but multitudes can tell you about the scary times in which they lived, too. Our ancestors, not too far back in time either, had to flee to the nearest forts to escape Indian attacks. Locations now that boast cities and towns were once constantly under these threats. One can contemplate just how “unfair” the “white man” was, but for whatever reason, God’s will was done through events to accomplish His purposes. - My great grandfather kept the lights along the shore of the Tennessee River, and in his travels faced dangers and perils from bandits and criminals that travelled the river looking for the weak to rob. He carried a Smith & Wesson pistol, which insured respect.
Any terrain you might mention was filled with its own fears and perils. - Now, we face much subtler and more “civilized” pitfalls.
I’ve cast my cares upon the Lord, for He careth for me. - Oh, I’ve been discouraged yesterday and today; but nothing can separate me from the love of Christ, neither life, nor death, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers of any kind.
Things that are lovely, pure, of good report, if there be any virtue, any praise, think on these things.
You do not stand alone, my young friend. We may indeed have some dark days ahead, as others have before us...but there will once again be light at the end of the tunnel. I do not intend to lose the America my ancestors fought so hard for.
You don’t know how glad I am to see younger people as concerned as I am. Yesterday, I was in tears over what happened. Today I am stronger and more determined than ever.
I would ask if I could re print your plea.
The difference is that if you let fear paralyze you, you will surely fail. If you put fear behind you and do the next right thing, you will surely succeed.
“Fear not for I am with you, even until the end of the earth.”
“Never will I leave you, nor forsake you.”
You know a lot of scripture. I have done as God wants and “hidden” scriptures in my heart. When in dispair, He will send the right one to you.
I heard one thing from Rush on Thursday that I won’t forget.
He said “I know about tea (he has a tea company). When you boil tea too long, it makes it stronger.”
This is what the evil doers in DC have done. They have boiled The TEA Party far too much. We are stronger than ever. Thursday was a great day of empowering our base, good Christians who will righteously fight for our freedom. We won’t give up, ever. And we know that our souls are safe, no matter what happens. What is to fear? Nothing. We have God on our side.
Perhaps you already do this, but keep a journal of scriptures that really speak to you. I’ve done this for almost 20 years. Anytime I need to reference a scripture for someone who needs it, or if I do, there they all are.
Here’s a scripture for the times we live in.
Ephesians 6:11,17
“Put on the whole armor of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of The Spirit, which is the Word of God.”
As others have said, there have been worse times to live in.
My dad was born at the start of Hitler’s reign of terror. I often wonder how my Grama and Grampa coped having children at that scary time.
Fear not, and get back to us anytime. We’re here to support you.
God helps those who help themselves. As the popular song went during WWII, "Praise the Lord and pass the ammunition."
Focus your fear...you are not alone....what doesn’t kill you makes you stronger.
I have the same fears. I look at the first century Christians and I don’t know how they did it.
But then I do, it took real faith. Faith in God.
But right now, that may not comfort you. You want to see, maybe this country will turn around. Maybe.
Well, this is a bit of advice I have, from me to you, it’s not bible based, though. But I do say, yes, God will not forget his lambs. Yet we all know, lambs have been persecuted for righteousness sake. That is scary.
Here is my advice:
It’s not here yet. It may not ever be here, either. You are not a psychic, and what you fear may never come to pass, though you may be reading the signs, you may have come up with a wrong prognosis.
One does not know the future, and it is no use worrying about what ‘may be’. Like Spock, do not be emotional. It will only defeat you, and perhaps for nothing.
Example. I, as a nurse, have seen so many people come into the hospital, they are told they should have an xray of their chest, abdomen, etc. There may be a most uncomfortable reason for their health problem, between the lines, could be a tumor.
Omg, it’s the end. Here it comes. I know it. They sit morosely, thinking they already know. Their families come in, terrified, mom is ‘that age’. This is it.
Xray, ct scan, whatever, gets done.
Negative.
Weeks worth of tears, worrying, anxiety, depression, loss of appetite...for nought.
Let the facts present themselves, then DEAL with the problem. You will find courage at the time as you need it.
You’re overwhelmed. There are a lot out there feeling the same. You are not alone.
And let’s all pray for our country. Perhaps the almighty will answer our prayers.
