The House referred the contempt citation to the federal attorney's office for prosecution. DoJ's attorney was ordered by Obama to refuse to prosecute the case against Holder. I don't know what that has to do with Boehner.

The next step may be for the House to hire a special prosecutor to pursue a civil suit in the courts, as was done against Nixon, where the court ordered the administration to release tapes and documents it had tried to protect under executive privilege.

This all would take us beyond the election but it can still be played out.

Issa talked about this today on Hannity. They are going this route and are asking that the case be expedited so it gets dealt with soon. Obama and Holder are playing rope-a-dope, hoping to get past the election. If Issa can get this expedited, he may be able to force their hand sooner.
