An article written by Steve Doughty and published in the Daily Mail in the UK on June 19. The article reports on a research by Professor Patrick Pullicino that found that approximately 29% of all deaths in the UK are prematurely ended by use of the Liverpool Pathway, a plan that defines a patient as futile and then withdraws all treatment and care, including hydration and nutrition.

Further to that, the Liverpool Pathway works by withdrawing all treatment and then using larger doses of morphine to ensure that the person does not suffer from the symptoms of dehydration. Clearly, the abuse of the Liverpool Pathway is a form of euthanasia by omission.

And this is exactly what Zero plans with his death panels.

Wow! That's a very high percentage cited

We are living in the age where life imitates satire. In Monty Python's movie "The Meaning of Life", two blokes from the government show up at an elderly couple's house. They were there because the older gent signed something stating he would be an organ donor. Complaints of "still using" his liver not withstanding, the blokes threw the gent down on the kitchen table and violently cut his liver out while his wife gave him an "I told you so" lecture.

NICE-National Institute for Clinical Excellence. Ayn Rand said they would label their evils with the nicest, most misleading names. Death Panels is far more accurate. Thank you, Sarah Palin for calling it like it is!

A Department of Health spokesman said: ‘The Liverpool Care Pathway is not euthanasia and we do not recognise these figures. The pathway is recommended by NICE and has overwhelming support from clinicians – at home and abroad – including the Royal College of Physicians.

‘A patient’s condition is monitored at least every four hours and, if a patient improves, they are taken off the Liverpool Care Pathway and given whatever treatments best suit their new needs.

Kind of hard to show improvement when they're taking away nourishment and fluids and medication and doping you to the gills on morphine, but who knows, you could get lucky.

An ordinary curseword comes to mind for this spokesman, but it's inadequate - the mindset is from the Father of Lies.

According to another source, that’s 130,000 patients a year.

It’s going on here too, just looks a bit different.

http://oig.hhs.gov/oei/reports/oei-07-08-00150.asp

“We determined using medical record review that 83 percent of Medicare claims for atypical antipsychotic drugs for elderly nursing home residents were associated with off-label conditions and that 88 percent were associated with the condition specified in the FDA boxed warning.”

The FDA boxed warning in question is called a black box warning, and in this case it warns specifically Against giving these drugs to the elderly with dementia due to increased risk of death.

88% of the seniors who got these drugs in nursing homes had dementia.

It's like Orwell's Ministry of Love, Mini Love, in 1984; where they tortured enemies of the state.

Good think they have a royal family to make sure there's no abuses by government.

Especially the really subtle, hard-to-catch abuses.

Like, oh, I dunno, cutting off food and water to healthcare patients and watching them slowly die in agony while pumping them full of morphine and telling them they're being given the highest care.

You know, the hidden stuff.

And they will all have to answer to God at the moment of their death. God is pro-life. He doesn’t like the doctor’s messing around with lives like this.

Don’t put your relatives in nursing homes. See if you can care for them at home. Then, in addition, refrain from involving Hospice if at all possible.

I am convinced, the more I ponder and pray about my husband’s death, that Hospice did not help at all. (Hope you understand what I am not saying here.)

I have heard this from people and experienced it with my father.

I tell people now to never leave a family member alone for one minute in the hosptial or nursing home. To always have private care or better yet family care.

Life in the US isnt worth much at either end : very young or old.

I Do understand Exactly what you’re not saying here, and Thank You for your sentiments, warning, and you have my sympathy for your husband.

Those antipsychotics I mentioned are being handed out like PEZ in nursing homes because they slam the patient into a docile and quiet non-person who just stares off into space.

That way, the Nursing home cuts down on its expenses for Nursing Staff and since so many people have to sign over their house and everything they own to be taken into those places, the Sooner the patient expires the sooner the home can cash in the house and put another person in that bed.

It has become an evil, evil racket. The FDA expressly warns Against giving those drugs to people with dementia because it increases the risk of death, and 88% of the people who got them Had dementia?

88%? That’s not just stupid. That’s intentional.

The Liverpool Pathway is exactly what was imposed on a family member of mine here in the US. She was terminally ill, but her demise was hastened—to me, appallingly—by a for-profit hospice service where even their home health aides privately warned us against their doctor’s home visit with what was a lethal dose of morphine.
